Charltons Banff

We had a great stay! Peter the front receptionist was great! We will definitely come back again!

I like how accessible it was to Dowtown Banff. We enjoyed the short trip there and the service of the staff. I wish the basic amenities are complete but it was a nice place to stay.

Booked hotel in advance for a sister milestone birthday trip. Location was on main ***** so that was good; however, was a little ways out so not easy to walk. Thought it was closer to central downtown. Called and requested an early check in and was told the room would be ready at 1pm. Showed up just before 4 and there was a line up to register because the rooms hadn't been released yet. Hotel is quite old and run down. It smelled wet and musty. The room was quite dirty (stuff on the carpet, dust on appliances and very dirty on top of valance. In need of a major overhaul. We were expecting it to be very noisy at night based on noise experience in the afternoon; however, it was very quiet - which was a pleasant surprise. Was recommended we have breakfast at sister hotel down the street (Royal Canadian Lodge) and that was a debacle. Will not go back there. Adrian at the check in desk was very professional, calm and apologetic. He WAS the saving grace of the stay. Two thumbs up and 5 stars for Adrian. The hotel itself...not so much - likely won't be back.
