The best part about this hotel is the location - right in the middle of town. The mattress was awful and the floorboards are horrendous- you can hear every footstep from the rooms above. The room was relatively clean and the staff were helpful

They are simply charging a RIDICULOUS fee for this hotel. This is at best a 2 star hotel and they are charging 4 star prices. Rooms are tiny, beds are tiny, hotel is a minor 1970's upgrade. I've never had a hotel where I felt like what I paid was so completely out of step with what I received. Stay somewhere else - even paying a bit more for a proper hotel is worth it, otherwise you will feel incredibly ripped off.

The ONLY decent part about this hotel was the location. This hotel was grossly over priced, not clean, no plug ins available, no AC (which we knew) noisy fans, a screen that kept falling out on the 3rd floor. Book elsewhere!

Awful service in King Edward hotel in Banff!
Poor front desk information and service; broken TV; dirty bed and sheets; unavailable microwave or refrigerator; no breakfast; no A/C; very noisy room. Overall unqualified as a hotel!

Centrally located, which is fine on a weekday, but last Sunday there were people partying out on the street til 230 am. The next day, the elevator was out of service, so we had to carry our bags down (not a huge deal, but not great.) The room we stayed in needs updating, particularly the bathroom with peeling paint and scuff marks. The people at the front desk were very nice and courteous, just wish the place was nicer.
