Samesun Banff

The staff are all very nice and helpful. I arrived early and couldn't check in yet as the room wasn't ready, but they offered free luggage storage which was a great convenience for travelers. The kitchen is clean, with a stove for cooking and a microwave for heating food.

The hotel was easily accessible from the city center, and we didn't encounter any issues during our stay. When our flight was suddenly canceled and we requested a date change, they kindly accommodated us (though there was a slight additional charge). It was great that the kitchen had free-to-use items like cling film, Ziploc bags, and condiments. There was no hairdryer in the room, but the front desk happily lent us one when we asked.

The breakfast included was a nice touch! My friend and I (two females) stayed in a mixed-gender dorm, and we had absolutely no issues. We even made friends in the common kitchen!

This was my first time staying at a hostel, and it was much more stylish than I expected. I stayed in a 6-bed female-only dorm, and both the bed and bathroom were surprisingly clean, exceeding my expectations! Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, and when I went around 7:40 AM, it was almost full. So, it might be tough for those who are in a hurry.

The location was fantastic. It was about a 10-minute walk to Banff town, and there was a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was included, so I had pancakes every morning – they were delicious! I also received fresh bath towels daily, which kept things very clean. The only minor drawback (and perhaps I just couldn't find it) was that there was only one restroom. If someone was using it for a while, it could be a bit inconvenient. It would be great if there were another one in the hotel. I traveled alone, and the room was always quiet, making for a very comfortable stay. Thank you! I'd love to stay here again on my next visit.

The facilities are a bit old. The bunk beds are metal, so if the person on the top bunk moves, you'll definitely feel it. It's probably not ideal for light sleepers. The hotel only provides bath towels and beds. If you need a hairdryer, you have to borrow one from the front desk, but it wasn't very effective.
