The Siam

Riverside Bangkok|2.63km from Golf Bar
We had the pleasure of staying at The Siam for 4 nights in early May 2022. Quarantine-free travel had just lifted so we were lucky to have almost the entire hotel to ourselves for a few days.. Our stay was amazing. The service was impeccable, our private butler (Tong) helped us out with all of our bookings and arrangements and was a great source of recommendations on top of the Bangkok guide provided by the hotel which was very helpful as well. We met the general manager, Nick, who was very accommodating and regularly checked in to make sure our stay was 100%. The hotel room we had was spacious and well decorated with a comfy kingsize bed. The interior of the hotel is like a combination of a palace meets museum, with antique art from around the world in every room and hallway. We found the library was a great place to do some quiet work (unfortunately that was required), and we made use of the private hotel boat to get anywhere on the river, such a fun (and quick!) way to get around Bangkok and avoid the sometimes busy traffic. The restaurant was also great - what better way to start the day than having breakfast overlooking the river. Would also recommend the Spa downstairs, a very relaxing way to recover from busy Bangkok, as well as making use of the “screening room” which is a small private cinema you can book whilst ordering from the room-service menu. We will certainly stay here again on our next trip to Bangkok, absolutely worth it and 10/10 recommended.

Villa de Khaosan by Chillax

The room is a bit small, the smell is too strong, the window is the inner window in the corridor, the service is very good, the front desk and the doorman are very friendly, they help us take the luggage from the taxi and send it to the room. The washbasin in the bathroom is the type I like, and I didn’t go to see the rooftop swimming pool. The schedule is too tight, but I didn’t take pictures for those who leave early and return late.

The lobby of the hotel looks very comfortable when I check in. The hotel also has a free parking lot. The lady at the front desk is very good, very beautiful and kind. The bedding in the room is so comfortable and the room items are complete. The hotel is very new. The room environment is very clean and tidy. The service The attitude is very good. I like it very much. The price is cheap and cost-effective. I will choose this hotel next time. The swimming pool is also very beautiful on the top floor. The night view is very beautiful. There is a cocktail bar, snacks, breakfast, and swimming bath towels. That's it. On Khao San Road, there are many bar programs in the evening, making it a must-visit for backpackers.

We stayed in the family room with 2 adults, 2 children for 2 nights, it was clean and had everything we needed but it wasn't anything special. Arriving late and walking down Khaoson Rd, we thought what on earth had we done but the family room was at the back of the hotel so was quiet. So, good location if you want the hustle and bustle but very loud at night out on Khaoson Rd. It didn't feel very safe, they had a sign saying 'leave your belongings in your room at your own risk'. And when we needed to leave out bags in the luggage room for a few hours, we felt uneasy as people were in and out all day. The reception staff were fine with us, the staff at the bar by the pool weren't very friendly though. The pool area is nice and they provide towels but it's only small so you're lucky if you get a bed. I was ok for 2 nights while we explored Bangkok but I probably wouldn't stay again.

This hotel was one of the comfiest I’ve slept in! The bed is amazing and the air conditioning is exceptional. Coming from Ireland, my boyfriend and I were kept cool from the intense Thai heat outside. The pool area is nice and clean. The hotel is situated in the centre of the Koasan Road *****. We stayed there for 3 nights. The road is extremely busy with very loud music and partying. The one night we did not party, we could hear the music quite loudly from our bedroom. As well as this, a lot of noise woke us in the halls with young people coming back from partying between 3-5am. This didn’t bother us at all, however I feel it would really affect the holiday of families or couples looking for peace and quiet! A general tip - don’t get a taxi from the airport to the hotel without setting the price to 500 baht MAX. Anything higher, and you’re being overcharged! We learned this the hard way! 😅

Photos absolutely not corresponding to the reality. Microscopic camera. Absurd noise. Ideal for groups of young boys and wanting to take late in the evening ... The noise that comes out is overwhelming. The violet tower is without lift ... Good climb to the third floor with bags in a micro scale ... I'm fortunately gonna have my bag . Every time you open a rubber (the washing machine is in the room to make you understand how small the room is) you feel noise of tubes that drop water. I can't say anything for cleaning.the clean but lacerated pencil cover. In short ... They have found another hotel in an area not suitable for making a hotel ...
