Grand China Bangkok

Checked in on October 3, 2026, after taking the MRT from Suvarnabhumi Airport. We stayed in room 1202, a 26 sq. m. Deluxe Room on the 12th floor with a city view in Bangkok's Chinatown. No street noise could be heard. As is typical in Bangkok, there is no balcony. Both the room door and the elevators are key-card operated for security. The bathroom features a full-sized bathtub with a great shower head, strong water pressure, and easy hot water adjustment. Toiletries provided include liquid soap, shampoo, shower gel, a shower cap, and cotton swabs. Lighting in both the bathroom and the room is a bit dim, relying mostly on corner lamps rather than overhead lighting. Amenities include a standard safe, slippers, a wardrobe with clothes hangers (though no umbrellas), a luggage rack, a desk with a mirror, a TV with YouTube, and a mini-fridge. The standard coffee/tea station includes an electric kettle, cups, glasses, tea, coffee, and 2 complimentary bottles of water in reusable glass bottles. The king-size bed was very wide with a fairly soft mattress and 4 pillows, and the linens were clean. There are two bedside tables with floor lamps. We weren't charged a security deposit. The built-in air conditioner was quiet, but blew quite strongly—we actually woke up cold in the morning even with the temperature set to the minimum cooling of +28°C. Given the room size, it might feel a bit cramped for a family with a child. The hotel's location is fantastic: just 450 meters to the MRT underground station and the same distance to the Chao Phraya River pier. There are plenty of 7-Eleven stores nearby and street food stalls on every corner. There is a small swimming pool with a jacuzzi area on the 23rd floor. It's quite shallow (around 80 cm deep), making it more suitable for soaking up the city views than for serious swimming. We went on an excursion to the King Power Mahanakhon tower, paying 1233 rubles per ticket to admire the city from 314 meters up. Honestly, it wasn't really worth it—the view from the hotel's 23rd floor is almost just as good, and it's already included in the room rate!

Very clean and highly satisfied! I stay here regularly. It's close to Sampheng Market—you can just cross the street and start shopping right away. They also have convenient parking. Truly comfortable!

Excellent! Close to Yaowarat and Sampeng. The food downstairs in the hotel is also delicious, I've had it many times.

This isn't our first time staying at this hotel. It's clean, quiet, has an excellent location, friendly staff, and a beautiful view.

The hotel is excellent! It's an easy walk to Yaowarat (Chinatown) for a delicious food tour, and then you can head to the rooftop for more enjoyment. It's super convenient. In the morning, you can continue to Sampheng Market. Simply superb!
