Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 11

The hotel is not far from Nana station, about an 8-minute walk. Taxis can drop you right at the entrance. Downstairs is a bustling bar street, which gets very lively and congested after 11 PM. There are 7-Eleven convenience stores at both ends of the street and in the middle. I stayed in a room facing the back of the hotel, and it was very quiet! The front desk staff were very friendly. The only downside was that the grout in the shower stall had black mold, likely due to using the wrong material.

This is the first negative review I've ever given on Trip.com, and it's for this hotel. We booked a family room, and there were bloodstains on the floor! But that's not even the main issue. On our last day, we went out shopping in the morning, leaving our two children in the room. Due to Bangkok traffic, we couldn't make it back. Around 12 PM, hotel staff let themselves into our room with a key card and started shouting at the kids. Because of the language barrier, the children were very scared. Then, before we even returned, they made the kids take their luggage down to the lobby! Seriously, what kind of service is this? No matter the reason, they should never have used a key card to enter without permission and started yelling! Absolutely terrible service!

The room features fixed bunk beds, not extra rollaway beds, which is perfect for families. The swimming pool is also quite large. The hotel is located on Bar Street, which gets lively at night, and kids might find the surroundings intriguing. However, our room didn't face the street, so it was relatively quiet.

The location is great, very lively around here, though traffic can be a nightmare. Lots of convenient food options nearby too. It's about a ten-minute walk to the subway station, and they even serve Chinese breakfast.
