Check-in was quick and efficient. The first room we were assigned had a strong moldy smell, but the staff kindly moved us to a different room. The accommodation felt overpriced given the room's condition, and breakfast was quite unremarkable. However, all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We're a couple on our honeymoon, making a quick stop in Bangkok for a day before heading to Phuket. Our friend recommended Riva Surya Hotel to us, and we couldn't be happier with our stay. We were thoroughly impressed with everything – from the cleanliness and service to its convenient location and easy access to the main street. Whether you're in Bangkok for a short stopover or a longer trip, this hotel is truly an investment in quality, well worth the price. We're so thankful to the hotel for giving our honeymoon such a perfect start. Highly recommend!

I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my stay, from the staff's service to the breakfast and the pool! Its convenient location also made it an excellent base for both sightseeing and shopping. The staff members were all incredibly kind and attentive, which made my stay very comfortable and worry-free. The breakfast offered a wide and delicious variety of choices, and I truly looked forward to it every morning. The pool was also spotlessly clean and had a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. I would absolutely love to stay here again!

An excellent hotel right by the river. It's a little dated, but it's very clean and the staff are pleasant. A big plus is its proximity to a pier, offering convenient river boat transport for exploring the city.

Service fantastic. Housekeeping a bit niggardly with one set of toiletries throughout my stay, considering the prices charged. Was given a great rover facing room although Wat Arun is not in sight (as the photos may otherwise suggest). Quieter part of BKK so don’t expect the noise and bustle of Sukhumvit

This was our second time staying at the Riva Surya, and we were still impressed with the service and attention from the staff. From check in to check out the staff were fantastic especially traveling with my elderly parents they could do enough to help. The Hotel location is great and is very close to many restaurants and bars, and just a short walk to Khao San Road and many market type stalls and shops. We had breakfast each morning at the hotel restaurant which provided many different options including Gluten Free bread. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and we had a great view from our balcony overlooking the Chao Praya River. During our stay the Pool was under maintenance, but the Hotel was kind enough to compensate us with a 10% discount voucher along with ฿1,000 off any food purchases per day from the Restaurant. Will definitely be back for our 3rd stay at the Riva Surya and the staff need to be commended on their quality and detail to service.

Excellent little hotel , perfectly positioned on the riverside. Short walk (yards) to the riverboat dock and hence to the main attractions like the royal palace and Chinatown.Good bar and restaurant with lovely staff. No hesitation in recommending this for a stay in Bangkok.

Additionally, the river boat terminal is just a short walk away, making it convenient to explore the city via the ferry. The staff at Riva Surya Bangkok were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Ordering Grab food was also very convenient, with a wide variety of options available at affordable prices, including delivery charges. While the hotel is on the pricier side, the combination of its riverside location, excellent service, and convenience makes it a worthwhile choice for those looking to enjoy a comfortable stay in Bangkok.

Very pleasant stay

A very pleasant stay in Riva Surya, very good service and very nice breakfast. A very strategic location near to Khaosan road, National Museum and Imperial Palace.

Location is far from the city center. Takes about 30 mins by grab to central area. Hotel room is very clean and spacious with a great view of Chao Phraya River. Breakfast is not recommended for the price you pay. It would be good to have breakfast outside the hotel. Hotel is perfect if you just want to be away from the hustle and hustle of city life.
