The hotel well placed but the 5 star experience is not there, should be equal to 3 stars maybe. The breakfast is not specially impresive ,fried eggs most probably prepered the days before ,no bacon or equal to go with it. Second morning we didnt bother to eat there at all tried another place . Third morning we did a mix and got our on bread from the baker on the mainstreet . One big plus was the reception staff that were very helpful .

I read many reviews of this small hotel that it has an exaggerated number of stars. I don't look at the stars. My wish is for the hotel to be comfortable, clean, friendly and locationally ok. This hotel has it all. First, the location. This one is exceptional, in the center of Banjaluka, with many bars, shops, alleys and sights in the immediate vicinity. The staff is excellent, unobtrusive but friendly and willing to cooperate. I had a room in the new part and it was great. Big, clean, comfortable bed, TV with many channels, including sports (who actually watches TV in a hotel?), bathroom spacious, clean. In short, great. On the fourth floor there is a fitness center, a sauna and a swimming pool. Unfortunately I didn't use this part, but it looked great. Breakfast perfect. Some here complain that it is not adequate. I wonder what is missing. Some disadvantages, however: there is no iron (there is a laundry service, but for a minimal fee), there are no bath robes and slippers for swimming in the pool, maybe some another details. Banja Luka is a wonderful city with extraordinary people. Visit it and if your journey takes you here, stay at Hotel Talija. For EUR 70 per night, you get what you get in larger western cities for EUR 200 and more. I'll be back, for sure. PS: suitable for disabled people, suitable for families

Stadort: Beste Lage, mitten im Zentrum. Pool: im erbärmlichen Zustand, die Folie ist wellig und hat sich vom Poolboden gelöst (unangenehm es Gefühl wenn man darüber läuft), die Wasserkante ist komplett vergilbt. Die Farbe bröckelt von der Stahlkonstruktion (Poolüberdachung) ab. Kurzum: sehr in die Jahre gekommen und total ungepflegt. Frühstück: Kein Kakao, keine heiße Schokolade (auch trotz Nachfrage bei der Frühstücks-Abräumerin - nicht mal ansatzweise die Bereitschaft gezeigt um es zu machen/besorgen), Eierspeise kalt (trotz dem warmhalte-Behälter, daher ist davon auszugehen dass die Eierspeise sehr lange vor dem Frühstück zubereitet wurde), nur weißes Toastbrot (und nichts anderes), nicht mal ein Toaster da. Tischdecken sehr schmutzig. Der Frühstücksraum ein dunkles Loch (Beleuchtung schwach und der Raum ist im Keller). Zimmer: Bett-Kopfteil (aus Leder) sehr schmutzig, ungepflegt und abgewetzt. Beim Fenster bröckelt der Putz ab, Schimmel ist schon da. Alles in Allem, top Lage und TIEFGARAGE (das sind die einzigen Positiven Dinge) - der Rest jedoch grausam. Und natürlich für hiesige (bosnische) Verhältnisse (und in dem desolaten Zustand) eklatant überteuert (im Mai 25 für ein Zi. mit Einzelbelegung mit einer Dachschräge - also eher klein und beengt) 70,- € für eine Übernachtung mit Frühstück zu verlangen ist überzogen. Wäre das Hotel im sehr guten Zustand - wäre der Preis ok.
