The hotel's location is great; you can walk to the main attractions, and taxi fares are reasonable. The service is also very good, but the actual stay wasn't pleasant. If it weren't for the good service, I would have really wanted to complain. First, when I tried to book a room on Ctrip, it showed no availability for Saturday, but *********** had rooms. This led to me booking my Friday and Saturday nights as two separate reservations. Second, my first night's room was on the first floor, in a corner near the elevator. The door faced the elevator and a vending machine that was running all night. Outside the window was a garbage chute, offering absolutely no view. I contacted the front desk and was told there were no other available rooms, but they would move me the next day. The room I was moved to on the second day was still next to an elevator and also had no outside view. The positives are that the hotel provides disposable toiletries, bottled water, and an electric kettle, which not all hotels in Europe offer. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was also good. If it weren't for the good service and the fact that I was traveling with my child, I honestly would have wanted to complain about my room. I don't know if this was specifically targeting Chinese guests, but overall, it was a very unhappy experience. I hope everyone booking a room makes a note to request a room away from the elevator or one with a street view; otherwise, it's truly awful.

Staying at Barcelona Hotel Colonial is one of the best decisions we have made during our trip to Barcelona. We received an excellent service from the front desk during check-in and check-out processes, attending to our questions and requests promptly. The hotel is very clean, from the lobby, to hallways, and most especially the rooms we stayed at. The buffer breakfast is also excellent.

Breakfast : simple line but delicious and more than enough. Location : easy traveling to El Born, Gothic Quarter, and to Santa Maria Mercado. Metro and bus station just nearby Amenities: toiletries and bottle water only provided on first day of check in.

The hotel's location is excellent, making travel super convenient! The room was clean, tidy, and odor-free, with soft and comfortable bedding. The facilities were complete and all in good working order. The staff were warm and attentive, responding promptly. It offers great value for money, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Great hotel with great location and everything was very walkable. Hotel has no gym which was huge deal for me because I am athlete, however, I walked a lot around city which made up for it. Hotel staff is wonderful. From the front desk to the cleaning lady everyone went above and beyond. Would stay here again.
