Room Casa Gracia

This hotel is located just north of Casa Milà, with direct metro access. It's a large hostel with many rooms, an elevator, a kitchen, a backyard, and breakfast. There's also a public underground parking lot nearby.

The old-fashioned elevator was really charming. The quad room was great, with spacious bottom bunks that you wouldn't bump your head on. I booked for three days, and everything was good except on the last day I found some small bugs on the bed. They didn't look like fleas or bed bugs. I forgot to take a picture.

The hygiene was okay, and the location was decent, but the service was terrible. There was no hot water for showering, and even when things were broken, nobody bothered to fix them. It was very noisy. Seriously, don't stay here, it's a huge rip-off. The front desk staff was awful, a bit discriminatory even. They wouldn't let me switch beds even though there were empty ones, but they let a white woman switch. So disgusting.

This is ridiculous! There was a heatwave across Europe, and on our first night, the AC broke down completely. We reported it to the front desk the next day, and when we came back in the afternoon, the AC was on, but it wasn't cooling at all. So, we had to switch rooms. After resting a bit, we came back in the evening to get ready for bed, only to find there was no hot water, lol! And the WhatsApp contact the front desk gave us? No reply whatsoever. Throughout all this, the front desk staff were completely unhelpful and dismissive. I've never stayed in such an absurd hostel. Never again!

The room was quite small, and the bathroom wasn't much bigger. The shower water pressure was good, and they provided shampoo and body wash. I didn't see many other amenities, just a metal locker with four compartments that could be locked. The upside is its proximity to the attractions; everything is within walking distance. They provided a sheet and a small bath towel, but no duvet, which was fine since it wasn't cold. Check-in is only after 3 PM, but you can drop off your luggage in storage beforehand.

Highly recommend this hostel! The front desk staff are really welcoming, and it's super close to everything. Plus, it's very clean and the common areas are beautiful. There's also a restaurant next door with the same name that's absolutely delicious! Great value for money!
