Overall the service was outstanding. Caelis was superb. Check-in staff, bellboys, and concierge went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. A special recognition for Javier with concierge who was fantastic with answering all of my questions and making dinner reservations. Likewise, I’d like to recognize the fantastic bartender at Monsieur Rouge who made the best Negroni cocktails and was warm and welcoming. This was our first Ohla experience and certainly not our last. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Where do I start we simply loved everything about our stay at the edition. We stayed here April 18th - 21st and the staff specifically the concierge, night bell man on the 18th and front desk were beyond helpful and accommodating. I unfortunately lost the card with their names but those three guys helped my mom and I tremendously - from recommendations, transportations and other tidbits which made our stay very special. Lou Lou on the rooftop was exceptional and actually would remember our morning order which added that extra touch of personalization and guest service. Lisa I believe was her name at the rooftop bar (evening) was also fabulous. The Edition hotel is one of my favorite luxury boutique hotels and the Barcelona one didn’t disappoint - the rooms were gorgeous, clean and well appointed. The rooftop had breath taking views and the bar on the 1st floor was great for a nightcap. On top of the service, great rooms the hotel was in an exceptional location which made exploring super easy! We spent three days here and then moved to the W and it was nowhere near the level of luxury service - quite frankly we regretted having not stayed at the Edition for our entire stay!

Location is great in Gothic Quarter, and staff are very nice. But the rooms are very very small! And peculiarly designed. Even small for one person. Toilet separate area of room from sink basin and shower. No where to sit except on bed. Very clean, good TV but uncomfortable room. Breakfast excellent, restaurant very good for dinner, rooftop bar small but attractive with good tapas. Hotel arranges transport as most taxis couldn’t find the hotel on a very narrow windy street!

It was a very disappointing experience. The hotel service is not even one star and it feels that’s it is not respecting customers at all. Reply was super slow, manager don’t care about the customer even there is a feedback and complain. Most surprising is that there are bugs in the hotel room. This is the second time I stayed at this hotel: I stayed here 17 years ago in my first visit to Barcelona although I could not remember much of my experience then. I decided to stay at the Hotel Royal Ramblas in my second visit to Barcelona for 5 nights in September 2022 because of its good location. I must say its location on La Rambla is excellent and exceptional. It is close to many popular tourist attractions, it's just a few minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya metro station, and bus stops at Plaza Catalunya for the hop on hop off buses. Port Veil and the beach are within walking distance. The room we got on the Planta Royal (just one floor above the breakfast restaurant) was comfortable and clean. Although the room is facing La rambla it is extremely quiet during the night. The wifi was fast, the shower was great and the aircon was so quiet and effective. The breakfast was excelent throughout our stay and the staff at the reception were very helpful and freindly. I will definitely recommend this hotel for visitors to Barcelona. One complaint I would like to make is that for a four star hotel, there isn't any tissue paper in the room. I have to buy one box of tissue papers from Carrefour nearby. But in my opinion Hotel Royal Ramblas is an excellent hotel and I would stay there agin in my next visit.

When first booking our trip to Barcelona, it was a little overwhelming the amount of properties one could choose from. After a bit of review and consideration we decided on the Hotel Olivia Balmes. We were most interested in finding a hotel that was centrally located, emphasized comfort and cleanliness, & had in room central air conditioning (given our late summer travel). The hotel hit top marks in all. We also used the pool and ate breakfast which were both excellent. I would not hesitate to book a stay here. The front desk staff were also very kind and available 24 hours a day.

Calling it a swimming pool is a lie, feel ripped off. When you select a hotel with a swimming pool, the prices went up by £300-400 for our stay, so a hefty increase, but they didn't have one. It was 1 foot deep, that's not a pool, if you can't swim in it then it's a glorified puddle. Breakfast was vile, only edible part was the croissants, which seems pricey for £9 per day. Bed was relatively cosy, but on wheels and made so much noise any time either of us moved in the slightest. There was a buzzing sound that went off from the fan every 5 seconds, not too bad during the day, but when you're trying to sleep then it was a nightmare. The staff were friendly at reception, the bright spark that kept us from going elsewhere as we were really tempted. Wouldn't book again.

This experience has been one of the best we’ve had in Barcelona. The hotel room felt spacious and all staff members were exceptionally helpful. We are particularly impressed by Front Desk employee Luis and Gema. They were extremely supportive. They greatly aided us with transport and gave us local tips (such as good restaurants, how to take public transport etc.) Gema even personally helped us to arrange our luggage delivery to another hotel in a timely and efficient way. The luggage was closely monitored the whole process until it arrived in our hand. I would highly recommended this real 5 Star Hotel to everyone.

Overall, we were very pleased with our 4 night stay at HCC Montblanc Hotel. Upon arrival at 11 am, we were happy that they were able to give us a room immediately, which is often not the case (they have a luggage room if a room wasn't available). Our room, 302, was spacious with 2 twin beds pushed against each other to form a large bed. The room was spacious with excellent counter and closet place. The bathroom was large with excellent water pressure and towels that exceeded expectations. They were some of the nicest towels I've had in a European hotel. On check-in, we noticed that the shampoo/body wash was missing and housekeeping brought it up immediately and also brought the extra pillows we requested. The room's air conditioner kept the room at a comfortable 72 degrees (F) the entire time. Our room rate included the breakfast buffet which we found to be ample with eggs, meats, cheeses, fruit, cereal, and a wide variety of breads and pastries. With regards to breakfast, only the coffee was disappointing but there is a Starbucks 2 blocks away, so it was not a big deal. The hotel has a small swimming pool which I used once and was very refreshing. There are lounge chairs and a bar area near the pool. There were 2 minor disappointments with the hotel: One was the lack of fitness room or gym which surprised us. I can't remember the last time I was in a hotel that had a pool but didn't have a gym. The second thing is that the hotel was doing some very loud room renovations that were close to our room. Thoughtfully, the hotel scheduled the work to begin after 10 AM and finish around 4 PM but it was very loud and nearly all day except for a lunch break. Luckily, we were out of the room mostly during those hours and it is probably temporary, but the front desk did not inform us in advance of the possibility that there could be noise, so it was a surprise when it first started and then continued every day during our stay. All of the staff that we interacted with were excellent and during our entire 4 day stay I can only recall one staff member who had a hard time communicating with us since we speak very little Spanish. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

If its your first time visiting Barcelona, your main places of tour is going to be the gothic area, El Born area so i highly recommend this place. You can pretty much walk anywhere. Casa Milla, Casa Batillo, The Catalunya square is nearby which is easy to go to the Aerobus station, from and to BCN airport. The hotel breakfast is wonderful, one of the best and high quality for a 4 star hotel! And the staff are super friendly as well. Their rooftop has a nice small bar with great view and a small pool. I think it’s filled with hot water since it is winter time. Super nice for its value!! One down side is that the room was a quite small. But i guess this is what you get for sleeping in a main inner city area

Whilst the location of this hotel was perfect for us, and from what we encountered the staff were nice, the rest of the visit was rubbish. For a hotel that is advertised as 4* this is certainly not the case. First impressions of the lobby are nice, as soon as you leave there, you are hit with a bad smell. We enter our room to find a frosted window with no day light, we then open it to find a dingy looking square full of used cigarettes as pictured. Therefore, we kept the windows closed and had no fresh air, what sort of a view is that. We did ask to change room, to which we got told we could tomorrow, but after reading reviews many people encountered the same problem. The hotel is the least soundproof hotel I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO!!!!!! Trying to sleep and having to endure the sound of someone drying their hair for 20 minutes, along with hearing every time someone flushed the toilet or showers or opens a door either on our floor, or above. This is just not acceptable to be honest, if you cannot sleep in a place where you have paid to sleep, then what is the point of paying at all? Just wish i could attach the videos of the noises we had to listen too instead of being able to sleep. SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT WASTE IT HERE
