Yes, they do deserve 5* for location, cleanliness, and their friendly, helpful staff, BUT I'm afraid that's where it ends. The ridiculous "designer" furniture and fittings throughout the whole hotel sacrifice any semblance of comfort or function for the sake of silly, quirky-modern wankery. Everywhere you look it's style over function..... I'll start with the worst bit, in case you can't be bothered to read any further: 1) If you have the sort of relationship that's happy with watching and hearing each other in the bathroom and shower then you'll love the glass doors and walls here. Unfortunately for us this is unacceptable and highly embarrassing. Ok so yes, we're from a generation that still respects privacy, and such openness may be great for the young, beautiful and uninhibited, but you have been warned!!! 2) Hanging space for clothes is a couple of stupid "modernist" bars at the wrong height for anything longer than a t-shirt. My wife had to hang her clothes from the tv! There is plenty of room for a wardrobe but oh no, that would just be too old fashioned! - Style over function. 3) The one place you want to relax and look over the lake is the balcony, but the oh-so-chic and effing stylish chairs are literally unusable without taking two pillows from the bed. Like so much in this place they look ever so cool, and they just don't work. Horribly uncomfortable. - Style over function. 4) The small courtyard sitting area is AstroTurf furnished with the most stupid, uncomfortable and impractical seating that, again, has been selected for style over function. 5) All the decor and furniture in the foyer is ever so "quirky", but incongruous, uncomfortable and impractical. Yet again style over function. To be fair there are several good points: - The location is great - almost on the lake front, and within easy walking distance from the old town with all its restaurants and night life. - The whole place is kept spotlessly clean. - The Staff are all very friendly, welcoming and helpful. - Free still or sparkling water on tap 24/7. - Good bathroom and shower (but see above!!!) - Comfortable bed - Good breakfast So it's not all bad, but the whole place is style over function. You'll either love it or hate it depending on your personal taste and what you expect from a hotel. For us, we expect somewhere to hang our clothes, some furniture you can actually sit on, and a bit of privacy in the bathroom.

We really enjoyed staying here, the location was great and only about a 5 minute walk into the centre. Very peaceful surroundings. The staff were so polite and knowledgeable and were great in helping us sort bus time tables for Verona and Malcesine. Breakfast was lovely and the omelettes very tasty. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back.

Our stay at the hotel was amazing! I really liked the friendliness of the staff - they were really kind, always there to answer questions. We truly felt welcomed. The breakfast was amazing - everyday they changed the finger food options, freshly made eggs in various kinds, the breakfast spot was a long table where everyone gathered, so it was easy to talk to other hotel guests. Our room had that amazing XXXXL shower with a view onto the lake. The balcony was directed to the lake and even though there were people on the streets and near the lake, the balcony was our favorite spot as you could easily relax. The location was just perfect - right at the lake, quiet, 10 minutes from the crowded downtown of Bardolino. We were extremely happy with our choice of staying in this modern and fancy hotel and would come back any time!

Mattia was wonderful!!!!! Mattia made our stay extra special. He was extremely attentive to our comfort with suggestions on where to dine……Asked if we needed anything every time we returned to the hotel. Truly a pleasure to deal with. He provided the best customer service we had on our entire 3 week holiday….

This was our first visit to "MaisonMe" hotel and it was a wonderful experience. We stayed in the beautiful room # 225 with the Garda Lake view. The hotel staff was super nice, helpful and courteous, always smiling and ready to help with anything. The hotel location is perfect, the room is spacious and clean and the whole experience was wonderful. We will definitely recommend the hotel and will visit it again in the future.
