Asanja Moru camp was a great choice thanks to Asanja Africa and manager Bariki. The entire staff were wonderful. It’s a lovely, peaceful remote area that makes you appreciate nature at its best. Surrounding the camp is a world of wildlife. You don’t have to go far to experience the big 5. Every game drives was better than the last. Our trusty guide, Fadhili Malisa made sure he got us to several lion prides right near the camp. Topped it off with a leopard sighting to enhance our morning game drives. The camp provided us with early breakfast so we could head out to witness what the area has to offer. They encourage a hot lunch or provide a box lunch to go. We had magnificent sunrises & sunsets. Malisa is a great photographer as well as a knowledgeable guide. We have memories to last a lifetime thanks to the Asanja team! I highly recommend requesting Fadhili Malisa for your guide. He made sure if there was wildlife to be seen, he got us there. Excellent leadership skills.

Wow, an experience out of this world. From the moment you arrive the warm welcome and friendly staff make sure your stay is perfect. The read and catered for our dietary requirements, ensuring every meal we had was outstanding. The foods were delicious. The scenery is stunning catching the Serengeti sunrise and sunsets. The tents were very well equipped with electric and comfortable beds. We feel a mosquito net would have been beneficial around the bed. A use of hairdryer would have also been a welcoming bonus for future reference. The showers are supposed to have hot water from the solar panels but we found only 1 night out of the 2 night stay we could only get 1 warm shower, so be prepared for a brisk cold wash! However, when showering and looking out to the Serengeti your experience will be magical. We want to thank all the staff for everything they did for us and for the surprise birthday cake and singing of Jambo Bwano on my 40th. A very special stay, and would most certainly return and recommend to everyone.

We stayed in the beautiful Asanja Camp in March 2025 and it was truly magical. Our experience was made so special not only by the amazing nature and wildlife but the wonderful hospitality of all the staff in Asanja. We were met by the extremely knowledgeable and welcoming guide Sherif from Seronera airport and from the start of our journey we were so impressed by the knowledge and expertise of Sherif. We enjoyed 3 days of safari and Sherif ensured that we did not miss out on experiencing all of the wonders of the Serengeti including sunrise and sunset drives to see the wildlife and nature. Our experience was enhanced by the food prepared in the camp which was 5 stars, we were particularly grateful for the delicious wake-up fresh coffee and biscuits before our sunrise safari. The tent was beautifully decorated and comfortable and had all the amenities you need while still feeling in the wild while seeing elephants and zebras outside the tent. The camp staff created a welcoming and “wild” experience for us to enjoy and we were greatly entertained by “bush tv” at the camp fire. We cannot recommend Asanja, the staff and our guide Sherif highly enough who made it a trip of a lifetime for us and we felt very privileged to have experienced the wild Serengeti and safari thanks to their expertise.

It was an incredible experience at the Asanja Moru tented camp! The food was excellent, and the staff friendly and attentive. The camp (individual ensuite tents and main tent) was open to nature with no electric fences. One night we definitely had a large non-hoofed animal on our deck that made the floor boards creak, however the thick walls of the tent made me feel comfortable (my wife on the other hand not so much)! The camp was a good drive from the airstrip, along some rough roads, but our driver Simon certainly made the most of the drive spotting animals along the way and we had a boxed lunch the second day to minimize back tracking which made for a wonderful long day spotting animals (and having close encounters) in the Serengeti. Upon our departure the camp staff sang the Jambo song, and each couple were given a bottle of wine which came in very handy later that day when at our subsequent camp’s afternoon game drive the Land Cruiser broke down and we spent an interesting hour and a half enjoying wine while waiting to be picked up.

We (with our 17 year old son) spent two magical nights at Asanja Moru as part of a 6 day safari in Tanzania (Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti). Our stay there was wonderful and memorable and we were very sad to leave. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with genuine warmth from Moses, Benson and Albert but we know that there were many people 'behind the scenes' who we didn't meet but who made our time there so special. Despite being so remote and so small (which was a huge part of its charm) we were constantly amazed that our every need was met - from delicious meals to hot water bottles in our beds and even wifi in the open-sided sitting/dining tent. We were even treated to a magical and very memorable surprise candlelit dinner in the bush complete with fire, bar and white table cloths! Chatting to Moses and Benson during the dinner was a highlight of our short stay. We have no hesitation in recommending Asanja Moru and hope to return ourselves, one day. Asanta Sana to the whole team!

What an awesome experience staying at Asanja was. The food was exceptional, service warm and kind, and setting incredible. It’s the dream of camping in the Serengeti (but with more than a bit of luxury thrown in!). Thank you so much for having us!

This was the best camp we stayed at during our nine day safari. Great accommodations with comfortable beds with reliable hot water and electricity. The food was very good and included a bush dinner. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!
