My partner gifted me for my birthday a package of two night spent at this hotel. The room assigned to us was very big and bright with a comfortable bed (and very crisp linen which I love) as well as for a spacious bathroom with a huge shower. We had dinner twice and overall it was great, the appetisers were tasty as well as for the pizzas, the only items which we found a little bit at fault was the burger, but it doesn’t change our mind. Breakfast was brought to the room in the evening with fresh pastries, yoghurt, granola, jam and OJ is a very nice touch, delicious. Regarding the location, as another person mention in the comment, the area is not great: a lot of shops have closed down or they are being refurbished and quite a lot of homeless/drunk people shouting in the street.

We stayed in the Ulverston suite and it was lovely. Clean and tasteful decor. Everything you need, hair drier, iron and ironing board, wine glasses. There is a couple of wooden games in the room noughts and crosses and dominoes which is a nice touch. Full size fridge. Shower is great and the spa bath was a welcomed treat. Bed was very comfortable, we would definitely stay here again. Unfortunately, we probably wouldn’t dine again. We booked a table as we were treating family and although the food could not be faulted, every meal we ordered was beautiful, the service was not the best. One waitress made you feel as though you were an effort and the more cheery one asked if we wanted anything more but walked off before I had chance to answer. I didn’t find them attentive at all, it was a real shame. As mentioned though the food was delicious. The only other comment I would add is (and puts me off eating here again) the chef goes out the back for a cigarette and his chef whites were disgusting….i have been a chef and yes you get food on them but these were grubby! Had I seen them before the meal I would have cancelled the table.

The property was very clean, modern and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay, the room had everything we needed and it was comfortable. My only negative was the jacuzzi bath, the bath itself was clean but when you turned on the jets loads of black stuff come flying out so I'm guessing the jets never get cleaned and are full of mould, skin, oils etc so i would never use one of those again but my overall experience was lovely just stick to the gorgeous shower or i guess don't turn on the jets in the bath.

Only had one towel in room for two people, mentioned this to reception multiple times before getting a second towel. Also, tea and coffee provided in room but with only enough milk for 3/4 cups of tea/coffee and milk not replenished by housekeeping (had to buy our own milk). Continental breakfast was a bit disappointing and breakfast could be served in the restaurant or in the morning instead of being left/delivered to room the night before. The room and hotel are really nice and the restaurant /bar is exceptional and we enjoyed our stay. Despite these little things, we will be back soon. Thank you.

Amazing hotel! Was not expecting our room to be a full suite complete with living room and kitchenette area with fridge, toaster, kettle, sink and a 2 hob cooker top. Bed was comfy, linen was clean, pillows were plentiful and plump. Bathroom was nicely decorated and water pressure & temperature was fab! There were no dismal trickles, it was full on rain! The TVs (there was one in the sitting room AND one in the bedroom) were smart TVs and really easy to operate. Everything was immaculately presented, super clean, attention to detail was superb. Didn’t try the continental breakfast as we were rushing about too much but will most definitely stay here again and give it a go. Staff were really helpful, we originally only booked one night but plans changed so booked another and there were no issues when I rang to see if we could stay in the same room instead of having to pack and unpack elsewhere. We were a bit concerned it may be noisy being on the Main Street with a bar downstairs but we heard nothing. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and an amazing price to boot.

The staff were helpful in getting us checked in, there was a google wallet pass provided to help if you used the restaurant, the room (6) was modern and clean ,with good facilities, (fridge, kettle, toaster), a good sized double bed and a great shower. However, the room temperature was unbearably hot. The thermostat showed 28 degrees most of the time, with the radiators off and both windows open as far as they would open, 10degrees outside and with a tower fan running it still proved impossible to cool the room. It felt hospital type hot and even sleeping with no covers on the bed it was still uncomfortable. Additionally, the green emergency lighting which was on all of the time in the room was so bright as to provide almost a night light and so it was not possible to get fully dark in the room for sleeping. We loved the facilities of the room but without a way to get hot air out and cool air into the room we cannot envisage ever staying at the Town house again,

The staff were really friendly and approachable. The rooms weren’t as clean as I would have liked. However, the decor was really really nice. It was quite loud due to it being a Saturday so when people were coming in and out of the bar it was noisy. This didn’t bother us too much but worth knowing if you are a light sleeper, etc. the breakfast was ok, but not really worth the extra money for it.

From arriving for one night upto leaving was absolutely amazing. My husband surprised me for my birthday . The room was huge and so perfect and had everything you need. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family 💯. We had evening meal in the bar which was lush. I had a Toblerone cocktail I've never tasted anything so delicious. So obviously had to have another one 🙄 well worth the money. Will definitely be back to this place again but for longer. The boy did good 👍
