Staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. Very helpful, stayed on the phone directing me to the car park, explaining where to get food, if required. Either the Brewers Fayre or the local eateries opposite the Inn. Also happy to have food delivered. Location was excellent, short walk to the sea front, or to local bars. Room was very comfortable, I had a small issue with locking the door from inside that was rectified within a few minutes of calling the reception. I would definitely recommend a stay at this Premier Inn. I will certainly use this again.

The first room we were given smelled strange when we entered, I started putting stuff away and went into the bathroom and it stank. I lifted the toilet seat, fully expecting to find something nasty but it was clear but the smell was horrendous, like bad drains. I went to inform and fair play the changed our room without any fuss. The loo in the second room was OK but the whole place was grubby, with dirty paintwork, stains and holes on the sofa bed, I'll fitting net curtains that looked like rags at the window, not impressed. And to top it all we went down for breakfast and the 10.99 all you can eat breakfast is not on weekdays. It still costs 10.99 but you have to wait for someone to come and take your order without being able to choose ( not even a menu) and again the whole place felt in desperate need of some refurbishment and a deep clean. Will be trying Travelodge next time.

Got ripped off by the prices because a Rugby match was on. Friendly staff, clean room and comfy bed as expected. The hotel is not central in Barry but is in a convenient location. Not many shops around, but a short walk to a big supermarket. Yes I would stay again.

I just wanted to say how amazing the young lad that works on reception is he was on shift Saturday 1st March evening and then again on the Sunday morning. My husband broke his leg while we were there and he helped us out he’s an asset to your company and helped make a stressful situation better.

We stayed at this hotel during a trip to watch the Ireland / wales rugby . Prices were much higher because of this but we expected that . The position of the hotel is great , 5 minutes to train station into Cardiff and near to shops , pubs and restaurants. Great parking , clean comfortable and quiet rooms overlooking the sea . Really friendly staff and 5 minutes from Trinity Street where Gavin and Stacy is filmed , great hotel

Sleepless night for £190. Hotel allowed Bracknell Football Club to stay next to a family room. Players behaviour was antisocial from 4am disturbing my family. Multiple players kept coming and going into Room 18. Laughing and talking with loud, heavy beat music playing. Asked them several times to switch off music and keep noise down. Phoned reception at 4am and no answer. Phoned reception again at 5am- finally answered and music turned off. Some chatter continued. Spoke with receptionist in the morning. Their night shift had failed to pass on my complaint from 5am. Reported again in full to receptionist, they told me they had no power to up hold my complaint. The manager was not on duty. They were very sorry and especially as I now had to drive my family home- 3 hour drive with everyone shattered instead of refreshed. Asked for refund as room only cost of £190 should guarantee a peaceful nights sleep. Receptionist gave me a card and told me to leave this review as it will start the complaint process. I request full refund and a review of booking process and duty of care for guests when you host large groups (especially male oriented). I look forward to hearing from you and recommend that Premierinn and your owners Whitbread Plc complain to the board of directors at Bracknell FC over the behaviour of their players. They were playing Merthyr and were beaten 5-1 on the Saturday afternoon.

We have used this hotel many times since it opened, and have been very happy with the accommodation and the service. This time was no different. However, the car park area was a disgrace, with garbage and litter scattered around overflowing bins. This might have been because of a delay in emptying bins, but the hotel management should have ensured that it was cleared up. It was not easy to miss!
