"We visited the Barnsley with my son, his wife and their infant son. I have to say that the resort is underwhelming. It is advertised as an exclusive luxury resort but it’s below the standard of other luxury resorts that we’ve vacationed in. The value for the money is not there. Pros: The grounds are beautiful. There are multiple activities for families with young kids. It seemed ideal for a wedding weekend. Service at the restaurant was professional to some degree. Con:s: There’s much to be desired with housecleaning. Our rooms were not cleaned at all while we were there. The cottage where my son and his family stayed was dusty and the bathroom floors didn’t seem clean. The worst was that they found a roach hovering by the sink on their last night. They had to quickly pack and cover all their suitcases to make sure they don’t take any of these bugs home with them. There were only 2 restaurants while we were there, with one serving food buffet-style. The food was so-so, nothing special with the menu or the presentation of the food. Overall, the resort has potential. Management has their work cut out for them to make the resort match its description as advertised."

"Stayed for two nights. The cleanliness was very poor. There were also small mice found in the room. It was next to the road and there were also big trucks making noise at night. I would not choose this hotel again. There are gas stations and stores such as Pizza Hut nearby, which serve as transfer points for drivers."

"Property was very welcoming, updated, ultra clean, and staff was awesome. Beds were very comfortable, the hot breakfast was excellent, and the fact that pets were allowed was huge. If we need to stay in that area again this property will be our only choice."

"Not only an oasis of peace, beauty, and charm but now our go-to place of rest when we travel through Atlanta. Larry and Doris add the finishing touch with a great breakfast and the personal touch they bring with their own sweetness and love, interesting stories, and engaging conversations. We are at home. The beauty of your home and its gorgeous trees – oak, maple, walnut, bamboo, crepe myrtle – and host of other plants could be scripted into a fairy tale. The few times we have stayed over the years is a joy we will always treasure. Thank you so much, Doris and Larry, for the memories. "I asked for a refund upon arrival because I walked into my room and bugs were every where. There was a sketchy man just chilling in the back of his vehicle right in front of my door. The only positive were the front desk employees. They were nice."
