The Pilsley Inn - Chatsworth

The Pilsley Inn - Chatsworth ★★★★

📍 Derbyshire, Bakewell

"All the staff were lovely and more than helpful, the room was so clean and had little touches that made it feel special; tea's and coffee's biscuits. The breakfast that was included in the price was brilliant as well"

The Hide at Chatsworth
8.2 (53 reviews)

The Hide at Chatsworth ★★★

📍 Baslow Road, Eastmoor, Brampton

"The hotel is located on the road leading out of town near Chatsworth Estate, making it suitable for travelers with cars. We checked in the previous night and enjoyed a delicious dinner in the hotel lobby; the steak was especially recommended! 👍🏻 The hotel rooms were standard, parking was free, and it's only a 12-minute drive to the estate, which is very convenient. Overall, it was a good hotel."

The Maynard
8.9 (60 reviews)

The Maynard ★★★

📍 The Maynard The main road, Grindleford

"This was a perfect location for us as we wanted to do some countryside walking. We thought the staff in the hotel were friendly snd professional. Our double room was spacious enough, comfortable and clean. The usual hotel room facilities were included in the price. We didn’t hear any noise whilst in our room despite being close to the bar and car park. There was no lift in the hotel so bear this in mind if you need help with climbing stairs. We decided to eat at the hotel and although the food was presented reasonably well both dinner and breakfast was rather lukewarm which was disappointing."

CBH The Cavendish Hotel at Baslow ★★★★
"I cannot rate The Cavendish highly enough. The staff are unbelievably welcoming, the hotel is immaculate and the food is fantastic. They manage to strike the very hard balance of feeling like a home away from home and absolute decadence. The quality of the food is unbelievable. Every meal (from breakfast through to dinner, including afternoon tea) was flawless. There is something very special about this place, unbelievably relaxing."

Fischers Baslow Hall - Chatsworth ★★★★
"The hotel is located 10 minutes drive from Darcy Manor. The building is a century-old building on a hillside. The building itself and its garden are amazing. The garden room we booked is in the annex building. The room is large in size and the view from the window is pleasant. The staff is serious and responsible, the attitude is kind, and the service awareness is strong. The hotel restaurant has won Michelin in 2021. The dining environment is beautiful. The price of three dishes for dinner is 80 yuan per person. The taste is good and the plate does meet the Michelin standard. In short, our only regret is to stay for one night. Special recommendation to everyone wall crack, garden beauty map is attached."

Wheatsheaf, Baslow by Marston's Inns ★★★
"It is close to Darcy Manor, but there is really nothing nearby. There are mosquitoes in the room upstairs, soundproofing is average, and the space is not large. After all, it belongs to the countryside, and the price is not high in terms of space."

Days Inn by Wyndham Sheffield M1 ★★★
"Ample parking. Sheffield is a bit misleading it's a 30min drive. It's southbound but only a short drive to turn onto northbound. Reception helpful and friendly 24hr. Free parking, rooms clean and beds comfy. Shower and bath work well. A decent place for a night stopover."

The Pilsley Inn - Chatsworth ★★★★
"This is a charming inn that perfectly blends old world charm with modern appointments. Gorgeous room with four poster bed, sitting area and amazing bathroom with a soaking tub and rain head shower. Clean and beautifully decorated. Even includes some books to read. Rooms has actual keys and steep stairs but accessible first floor rooms are available. Power adapters (for non UK) a must as no USB charging in room. Lovely restaurant and pub with great food and drink selection. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway. Very close to Chatsworth House."

The Maynard ★★★
"We have been here on two occasions and haven't been impressed. The pub itself is beautiful , very airy well decorated and in a great location. The gardens and well kept and lovely to sit outside. The atmosphere from the staff is very different they dont talk to each other , they are very buisness like and dont make you feel very welcome. It doesn't feel very relaxed. I felt it catered more for the affluent crowd rather than a traditional pub in the peak district that has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere"
