The hotel is beautiful having opened only a year ago. Right on the water and just a great place to hangout and relax. Enjoyed the croquet court which was like nothing seen before. Pool was nice though with bar would open before June 1st. The rooms were nice and overall the service was terrific. They are still working out some of the kinks though and can tell not been open all that long. Dinner was a disaster in Delaunceys from a service standpoint on Saturday night as understaffed. Maybe consider going elsewhere for food until they get this part better run. Also was kind of strange the starters cost more than the entrees! Other than that highly recommend if okay being 15 minutes outside of Bilbao.

This hotel is simply beautiful and the staff on the front desk so friendly and helpful . The food in the restaurant was just delicious for dinner and breakfast . Thoroughly recommend if you want to visit Bilbao or the area . Getxo had a lovely beach too . Loved our trip . Thank you to all at the hotel .

The front desk was very professional and the Palacio was gorgeous! We were delighted to stay in the castle and enjoy a cocktail in the bar. The bar staff was very attentive and it is one of the few places that had a full bar with a cocktail menu that we encountered in Getxo. The views from the back patios and courtyards are breath-taking. We also had a great time playing croquet in the front garden.

My wife and I stayed there during the first week of March. It was a unique and memorable experience. For those travelers who don’t want to read my detail review, this is a short review: As a world traveler who has been in 44 countries and has stayed at some of the finest hotels and resorts around the world, I give my highest recommendation to stay at Palacio Arriluce Hotel to any one who is planning to visit Bilbao. Extended review: Property was an old castle which has been brilliantly renovated. You see all the elements of its old charm blended seamlessly and tastefully with modern architectural and interior designs. Location is superb. It is located in an upscale quiet seafront residential community, walking distance to the old port and restaurants and cafes. Legendary service at its finest. Hotel staff deliver a unique and memorable experience at any point you interact with them. There was an issue with our booking for the hotel side. Ainara, the front office manager, reached out to me proactively and offered a generous resolution. If you are planning to Visit Bilbao Palacio Arriluce is a great option as long as you have a rental car. Presidential suit at this hotel is fantastic!

If TripAdvisor had a score higher than 5 then I would GLADLY ENTER IT. This is the best hotel I have ever been lucky enough to find. What makes it great? Of course the property is outstanding and on par as one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my life. But, clearly the reason I will never forget the Palacio Arriluce hotel are the staff members. Truly you will be astonished at the quality of the entire staff. I would challenge you to find anything that they were not only prepared to assist you with. They are not only friendly, they are happy. And their happiness is reflected in the warm reception they give you. I have stayed at all of the chains that promote their “world class customer service”. The Palacio Arriluce is the epitome of the term. In my humble assessment, they are the summit of this performance indicator. Congratulations to the leadership for the excellence that i have witnessed here. I believe that these people have impressed me so much that i want to be not only their customer but their friend. If you are EVER in the Bilbao region in general and surely the Getxo area, you should not waste your time considering and other hotel. As the song says, The Palacio Arriluce Hotel “is simply the best!”

We had an amazing stay at Palacio Hotel Arriluce! From the moment we arrived, Ainara welcomed us like long-lost friends and made sure we had everything we needed (and then some!). Her local tips were a brilliant —seriously, we wouldn’t have found half the hidden gems without her. The hotel itself is stunning. The room was gorgeous, the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the view? Let’s just say we considered never leaving. The food was fantastic—don’t miss the breakfast! We’re still dreaming about it. If you’re heading to Bilbao, you have to stay here. We’re already plotting our return!
