"I came into the Black Horse for evening drinks with friends. On arrival the restaurant was well decorated and clean and we were quickly greeted by a young waitress. Although there only seemed to be two members working, the young waitress was quick to serve us, and made me aware of non alcoholic options as I mentioned I was driving. Great friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, we will be returning on a later date!!"

"The hotel was in a good position. Breakfast was make your own in your room, it would have been good if there was milk in the room available. The shower door and toilet needed a good clean it was filthy. The only towel in the room was a hand towel. I got up at approx 7:30 am, no one was around for me to ask for Milk or a Bath Towel."

"My stay at Candlesticks was very enjoyable. I was made to feel very welcome, from the moment I arrived until check out next day the owner went out of his way to ensure my stay was very pleasant and that I didn't feel uncomfortable or self conscious as a single traveller. The atmosphere of the hotel and restaurant was very warm and comfortable. The food looked amazing, the downstairs restaurant was very quirky nice. I didn't eat at the restaurant but would definitely stay at Candlesticks in the future and eat there. Would definitely recommend"

"Nice environment, small courtyard with a bar, rich breakfast, friendly staff, but the room heater is broken, had to take out 2 spare oil tinctures, heating is also very slow, the room can't find wifi, so weak that it disconnects when connected, the bathroom is tidy, but why is the hot towel rack installed so high? Heat rises, this is common sense, doesn't the decoration design company understand? The towel rack is so hot that it burns your hands, but the whole bathroom is ice cold."
