Home2 Suites by Hilton Bastrop
"As mentioned by others, this hotel is newer (opened in July of 2025), and it’s still in very good condition. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and seem to be well-kept. Ample parking, and multiple restaurants close by. All good things. On the downside, my air conditioner wasn’t working at all when I arrived at the end of a long, hot day. Called the front desk, and was told he was alone and would be up to help “after a while.” Found the fuse box and fixed it myself. The biggest problem should not have been a problem. Whoever ordered the pillows for this hotel should be arrested and charged with a crime. The WORST pillows I’ve ever seen, and I travel every week. I used three pillows, and my head just sunk to the mattress. I took the top pillow and was able to BEND IT IN THREE, and it still wouldn’t hold my head up. Sounds like a small issue, but I promise it will ruin your sleep. Fix the pillows, and it’s a great property."
Zenfulcove
Holiday Inn Express & Suites BASTROP by IHG
"Convenient transportation and good service attitude. This time I met at 5-7 in the evening and also provided snacks and beer."
Comfort Suites
Hampton Inn & Suites Bastrop
"The room is big and the bathroom is clean. The bed is also very comfortable. But I always feel that the carpet is not very clean (maybe it's psychological effect). There is free coffee in the lobby. The swimming pool is great! We booked Hyatt before, and the indoor pool was very cold and completely unusable. The pool area here is very pleasantly surprised, very warm, and the children had a lot of fun swimming! The overall value for money is very high"
Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa
"The facilities are fantastic at Lost Pines & the fact that they let you use the pool & amenities before you’ve checked in & after you’ve checked out is brilliant. Nice staff & great junior suite."
Best Western Bastrop Pines Inn
"The people were incredibly nice and friendly. The rooms were great. Couldn't have been better!"
Days Inn by Wyndham Bastrop
Holiday Inn Express & Suites ELGIN by IHG
"Was a very nice stay. Very comfortable room, breakfast was good , great service."

Outcast Landing - A Fisherman's Paradise
"In summary: 1. Quiet, secluded lodging 2. Easy - and free- access to fishing pond when staying here 3. Well-furnished and well-appointed “tiny house” cottages 4. Fairly easy drive from Austin, ideal for a weekend getaway We chose to stay outside of Austin for part of our visit to the Austin area for chance to spend time outdoors and catch sight of the solar eclipse; but the weather was not very cooperative. We and our friends enjoyed our stays in these tiny homes. These were cozy but well-furnished. Just be sure to anticipate, plan and bring all the food supplies you need for your stay as there were no nearby grocery stores. Thebbeds were comfortable and we slept well. The small porch was a pleasant spot to enjoy the first cup of joe for the day while relaxing in the morning calm and listening to the birds. We do not fish but fish was included as part of the package when staying here. We did walk around the fish pond where we spotted double-crested cormorants, pied-billed grebe and American coot. The hosts were friendly, greeting us each time we drove in or out. They left a small container of 6 farm fresh eggs for us to savor in the fridge along with 4 bottles of water which we very much appreciated."
