Sandies Bathala

It was an amazing experience of living on such a small island, but they will provide everything you need. The food is just wonderful, stuff is friendly and helpful, atmosphere is nice and very Italian oriented. Reccomend for those who loves privacy and very calm vacations in beautiful place! Would add TV into the rooms for the days with bad weather.

Located in the Northern Atoll is Sandies Bathala Island which is a 20 min seaplane ride from the main Island. Transfer to the Island is via TMA, met on arrival into Male, and bused seamlessly to TMA seaplane terminal. Wow what a busy little terminal with seaplane departing and arriving on a regular basis transporting staff and tourist to multiple island destinations. We're off!! Unfortunately due to weather we couldn't land at our destination and were dropped off at Safari Island a 1hr 20 min boat ride from Bathala. Arrival was relatively painless and our beach bungalow was spacious, comfortable with onsuite and outside shower, serviced twice daily. The Island isnt large by any stretch of the imagimation, walk 15 minutes and you've circumnavigated around the Island. There is a dive centre for those interested on deeper exploration or snorkeling for those just wanting to see the wide array of tropical fish. Bathala is an All Inclusive resort and individuals would struggle not to find something to eat. We found the food to be a high standard, multiple options and the support from staff whether in the restaurant, reception or bar outstanding. Special call out to " Magic" his attention to detail set him apart. If you want a relaxing break, in a tropical oasis, good amenities, good attentive staff. I recommend this Island.

The snorkeling resources were absolutely fantastic. The staff on the island were all very warm and provided incredibly attentive service. A special mention goes to Mirsaid, who gave us a thorough introduction to the hotel facilities and a detailed description of the daily activities upon our arrival. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the entire experience and we're already planning to return next year.

very comfortable bed and pillows, excellent cleaning service, helpful and efficient staff ,great food. fast ship transfer really difficult due to sea conditions upon arrival. great snorkeling with the knowledgeable and experienced biologist.

Our first vacation in the Maldives and we couldn't have chosen a better resort. From first setting foot on the jetty, the staff have been attentive, friendly, and informative. The accommodation couldn't be more "beach front" with a few steps you're in that warm azure sea. The room is comfortably and clean with an excellent AC and comfortable bed. I'm not going to write an essay on the food. Everything is lovely with various themed culinary evenings. The bar and outside seating areas are just in from the beach front pool and perfect for a drink in the evening before dinner. All the snorkelling, scuba diving, and excursions are run by the very multilingual staff. We attended the green walk, which show cases the efforts of the resort in sustainability and protecting the reef. For a peaceful and relatively secluded holiday, I don't think we could have chosen any better. I would just like to thank the manager, Mr Bastiyan and everyone of his remarkable staff.
