Best Hotels in Battambang, Cambodia

We had a little trouble trying to find the hotel as the location given in the map is incorrect. Luckily our local tuk tuk driver was able to converse with the front desk and quickly brought us to the hotel. We have since wrote in to Google maps to update the hotel location. The hotel is pretty new, rooms are very clean and the stay was pleasant. The hotel is the tallest building in the vicinity, and they have an infinity edge swimming pool and a nice skybar where guest can drink and enjoy music provided by a DJ and live singer. Service is really good, waitress went out of the way to satisfy our request, and all service crew were very polite. The breakfast spread was quite good, we totally enjoyed it.

The entrance off the walled parking area is so understated, except for some beautifully planted pots, that I wasn’t sure we were in the right place until stepping through and turning to the desk where Sreynou greeted us warmly with excellent English. From there a quiet and spacious covered walk leads through the vegetation to the open air restaurant including tables where we ate dinner beside the large saline pool. The garden continues to unfold along stone paths to seemingly remote rooms a short distance away. On the west side is the colourful lily pond where we watched birds, fish and the occasional lizard while eating breakfast. Ridged bedroom ceiling and deep porches where sitting and looking out to the gardens becomes restful. Dinners and all day service are so good that I wonder why breakfast offerings are only basic but satisfactory. This is a very calm place that, for those of us who are normally very active travellers, can easily sit and listen or swim or watch nature or just walk around and absorb the very peaceful feelings this resort creates.

The hotel environment is good, a good holiday rest place, the attitude and service of the service staff is very good, a little girl is learning Chinese, it is very friendly to see the Chinese, the chef will speak a few Chinese, and when she sees the Chinese, she will come to take a few Greeting. The reception desk service is very welcoming. The hotel location is a little far from the city center. You have to hit the ”Sudden” car to go out. A beautiful knife can be used. You can go to the city center in more than ten minutes. The fare is paid directly to the driver. It is best to say hello to the front desk. It will be convenient to pick you up at the door on time. I have eaten breakfast and lunch. The taste is good. Although breakfast is included when booking, it is not very rich, but the basic contents are all. Fruit bread, milk coffee eggs can be guaranteed, and there is no problem eating.

The location, garden design & architecture, room, breakfast as well as the highly hospitable, helpful and professional staff offered us a wonderful stay in Battambang. The garden is a very skilled creation associating dozens of local plants and trees that provides a relaxing shelter not only for guests but also for birds.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. The room was well appointed and beautifully decorated. The restaurant served lovely food and good cocktails. The pool area was beautiful (not many sunchairs but I think because people don’t come to Battambang to sunbathe it meant there was always space as people only used their chair for an hour or two). The staff were lovely and did everything to make sure we had a lovely stay.

The property was well located and close to all the activities we scheduled. The room was clean and checking in was really easy. We didn't spend much time at the hotel, but the room had all the amenities we required. However, I asked the property if it'll be possible to check in earlier to which they replied that it can not be arranged beforehand and that the staff will assist us to the best of their abilities when we arrive. We arrived 3 hours before the check-in time. The hotel staff was friendly, but a fee of $5 had to be paid. I don't mind paying a $10 fee, but this could've been communicated beforehand. The property has a really nice swimming pool, but it can only be used until 20:30. Honestly, we rarely spend time at the hotel, but I feel there are better options nearby for the same price.

Beautiful, peaceful family homestay. I wish we'd stayed here for all 3 nights as there is more to see in this area than in Battambang town. Loved the hammocks for dozing while listening to the birds. Saro and his extended family all live here (it's a genuine Homestay not purpose built for tourists). Everyone is very kind and welcoming and the meals they made us were delicious. We were cycling and were late arriving due to having to change a tyre but Sairo had kindly waited at the side of the road to guide us. The Homestay is a short walk to the Batcave and is in a typical small village. Saairo booked the boat to siem reap for us and also made sure they would pick up our bikes and that it was the best dock (careful! There are 2 dropoff docks in siem reap for the boat).

Maison Wat Kor is an oasis of peace and friendliness in a dusty, frenetic area. It's a great spot next to a lily pond; the staff are friendly and seem passionate about promoting their local area and culture. Food was good, including Khmer specialities, and a surprise birthday cake, organised by our guide. My husband said his birthday massage was the best of or 3 month trip. Our room was large and dark, not conducive to hanging out in. And it felt like the decor had seen better days. But hardly surprising, given 2 years of covid hardships! In all a pleasant place to stay.

We were recommended to stay here for our trip to Battambang and we were not disappointed. It was just perfect - beautiful, comfortable, relaxing and welcoming. We ate here a few times and it was delicious! A varied menu to suit everyone. Pat the proprietor was sociable and warm and looked after us brilliantly, as did his staff. We thoroughly recommend this wonderful place, in a great location to get to everything - Tuk tuks are easily arranged if required either through reception, PassApp or Grab - an app where you can arrange your own and often get a good / better price if you’re out and about.

The room is tidy, spacious, the bed 🛏️ is very comfortable just what we needed after a long bus and train 🚃 ride. The location is near Lucky Supermarket, Bakery and Bus Station. It's 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. From the market its around 8-10 minutes walk. At night its a bit dark to walk around. Definitely a good place to stay compare to the other hotels that we've tried
