Verdict: If your budget allows, this place comes highly recommended, and ideally, you'd stay for a week. This Marriott property is arguably the most beautiful hotel in Penang, boasting direct access to the beach, pool, and lawn right downstairs. It also appears to have received design awards. Ctrip seems to be a major partner, as they offer special suites (with two queen beds) that can easily accommodate a family of three or four. The prices were also more affordable than booking directly through the Marriott App – huge thanks to Ctrip for the excellent deal! However, the hotel breakfast was extremely underwhelming. Regarding cleanliness, it's worth noting that housekeeping staff in Malaysian hotels are often foreign workers, predominantly from India. The hotel's surroundings are excellent, with a night market, convenience stores, and hawker stalls readily available. Just outside the main gate to the right, you'll find coffee shops, a FamilyMart, and other amenities, covering all your basic daily needs.
