To control invasive vegetation in the water, Bay County begins draw-down of Deer Point Lake for the winter sometime in October and begins raising the water level in March. The photos you see were taken in April with water at normal levels. After Bay County does a draw-back, I will post a few pictures to show winter water levels. The dock outside the cabin still has water access for small boats and kayaks, it will just be shallower and the scenery changes due to lower water levels.
