Domaine de Bayeux

This hotel and its team provides a perfect balance of experiencing 18th century charm and elegance with modern amenities such as the large modern and chic bathrooms. Due to a change of plans we spent our first night in one of the two new wings set in the fabulous gardens. The rooms are modern, spacious and functional, including a/c and a mini fridge. In my view perfect for short stays. However, the following seven nights we stayed in their premium ‘Omaha’ suite with three very large rooms, including a gorgeous new bathroom with seperate bath and large shower plus twin his/hers sinks. The main bedroom has a King bed, TV and there is a seperate sitting room. French doors from the bedroom lead to a large private balcony with furniture and a perfect spot for a morning coffee or afternoon drinks overlooking the gorgeous park like gardens. Note there is no a/c, nor a mini fridge, so this may not be ideal in summer. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional also helping with great suggestions and bookings. An easy five minute walk to central Bayeux this is a perfect place to base yourself for a short or long stay. Thanks Team!

We had a wonderful stay at Domaine de Bayeux as a family. The property is absolutely beautiful, with stunning grounds and a charming, peaceful atmosphere that really captures the character of the area. The location is perfect, right in the historic part of town and within easy walking distance to the cathedral, several great restaurants, and the pickup point for D-Day tours. It made everything incredibly convenient. The hotel itself offers a great mix of old and new. The main manor house is full of character and charm, while the newer rooms further down the property are modern, spacious, and extremely comfortable. We stayed in the newer rooms and were very impressed with the size and comfort. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. Next time, we will absolutely plan to stay longer, because this is a place worth slowing down and enjoying. Highly recommend.

Outstanding Hotel. The staff are so welcoming and happy to assist with recommendations for what to see and do in Bayeux. The rooms are gorgeous, so clean, quiet and comfortable. I wish I had stayed longer, there is so much do see and do in the area and no better place to stay.

Amazing Hotel near the train station (5-6 min. waking) and city centre (ca. 8 min walking). The staff at the reception was very friendly. Room was in the old building and super clean!

I rate this hotel excellent primarily due to the efforts of it's staff to make us welcome and comfortable. We arrived late on the evening of Easter Sunday due to travel and traffic issues. Nelson, the night manager contacted us on route to find out or eta. Be aware the reception and check in normally closes at 9:00pm. We alerted him that we were going to be late, and he told us he would stay later to wait for us. He called us again around 10:00pm to find out our whereabouts as we were having difficulty finding the hotel. It is located near the city center and is an older area. He actually left the hotel to our location nearby and found us to direct us to the entrance. He was wonderful and very welcoming, making it very easy to get to our room after a long travel day. The hotel is a wonderful old hotel with some new added on property below the main building. We stayed in the Orchard building and had a very nice view of the property which is well maintained and very neat. The room was spacious, modern clean and offered everything we needed, including a small refrigerator and safe. We took advantage of their breakfast offering in the morning which was very convenient and very good offering many breads, pastries, meats, cheeses and eggs. Along with juices and coffee. Anna, met us at the door to welcome us in the morning and was very hospitable. While the hotel is somewhat hard to find the first time in the dark, it was worth the effort and the entire staff made it enjoyable in every way. I highly recommend it.Very

We only stayed one night but wished we’d added a day extra or two. The property is beautiful and the beds are really comfortable. Bayeux is such a lovely town, so much history and great food! Looking forward to visiting them again.

Fabulous hotel. Lovely building and grounds. Parking on site. Staff were amazing; always pleasant and helpful. No evening meal but lots of choice 5 mins walk away, in Bayeux.

Our favorite stay of the 3 on our trip! It’s a lovely, small, family owned property a short walk to the city center. The proprietors and staff took great care of us! Highly recommend!!!
