Beach Hotels in Makarska

Great location! It's very central with all the bars and restaurants right downstairs (the only downside is the noise at night...). The room is very nice with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The shower room is lovely. There's even a Lavazza machine to make a good coffee in the morning before going to breakfast. However, the breakfast is a huge negative point! Very poor service: the waiters were not welcoming at all! They barely greeted us, and some of them were even smoking cigarettes while working (I was shocked!!! It's the first time I've seen that in a hotel! Okay... there's a first time for everything, but honestly, it's not pleasant!). Industrial croissants... bad bread 🍞 and only a few sad slices of cheese, as well as a few slices of watermelon 🍉! You have to chase down the server in the dining room to ask for the menu (and you feel like you're bothering them!). There's a bit more variety on the menu, but I found the quality to be average (apart from the smoked salmon, which was very good). I asked for a cappuccino with a sweetener. After a few moments, a waiter came to the table and took away the sweetener without even looking at me or asking if I was finished using it or if I wanted another coffee ☕️! No comment!... In short, the service really needs improvement because you clearly feel like you're more of a bother than anything else, and it's super irritating! We pay for breakfast, it's not free, so besides the lack of product choice and their average quality, we have the right to a pleasant welcome in the morning! In the lobby, the receptionists are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful! That really raises the hotel's standard!

Arrêt pour 1 nuit à l’hôtel Biokovo. Hotel très propre, calme et sur une belle place au niveau de la mer. La chambre propre, confortable et spacieuse. Le petit déjeuner et très bien ( manque juste de quoi toaster le pain tel un grillé pain ) Le service d’accueil est très gentil souriant Le seul point faible l’afflux de touriste le manque de parking difficile de se garer en cette période.
