Beacon Hotel

Convenient, centrally located but uncomfy The room was centrally located and pretty quiet at night. The microwave and fridge were great amenities to have especially since there's so many great restaurants in the area. The shower water pressure and bathroom stock was great. It was just a little uncomfortable from a climate control and toilet perspective The toilet was low flush / non-functional, and we had to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to fix / declog. The AC also was non-functional during the 70 degree day.

It was super amazing will definitely be back here soon, the area is nice however if you don’t have a car everything’s about 10-15 mins by walking which honestly was not bad at all. Loved it will be back soon!

Misrepresented. Misrepresented as a hotel. It was a room in a short term stay building. Smelled like smoke and was very hard to access. We actually left after dinner and went and stayed with our daughter. Didn’t feel comfortable there.

I had an absolutely amazing five night stay at the Hotel Beacon. The hotel is somewhat iconic in NYC and this is reflected in everything one experiences while there; it’s run like a well-oiled machine. Check in smooth, efficient & friendly as were all the staff in the reception area. Extending my reservation was a breeze, with the reservations manager (Dawn) going above & beyond the call of duty to assist in finding me the best rates possible. Even the housekeeping staff were outstanding. The rooms are surprisingly well-sized, well-equipped and offer the added benefit of a little kitchenette which goes such a long way in saving on meals. The views are breath taking! The hotel has the most ideal location being two short blocks away from an express subway station & with a bus stop a half a block away. The upper west side of Manhattan is wonderful in that it has a neighbourhood feel, while also having an endless array of restaurants to choose from, being two blocks from the glorious Central Park & two subway stops from Time Square. I highly recommend Hotel Beacon and wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff for making my stay so memorable.

Meh! pros: great location, clean-enough room Cons: building is gross and smelly, 0 human interaction/service, bed is not comfortable

Fine. Cheap. Lobby smells like cigarettes and the door lock is finicky. Room overlooked a restaurant but they close early so it wasn’t a big deal.
