I discovered this B&B by accident. The location is convenient and transportation is convenient. Beihai Old Street is right outside the door, and the mottled marks of time can be seen at a panoramic view. The Waishawang Red Bridge is just a five-minute walk away. Standing on the bridge at dusk, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and feel the tranquility and beauty of nature! The B&B is very new, the rooms are very clean, the boss is sincere and enthusiastic, the front desk service is also very considerate, and the stay experience is great! CCharms928Had a really enjoyable stay at the hotel. The staff are very courteous and helpful. The service was absolutely impressive where free laundry service and daily afternoon tea with fresh fruits and cakes were served. They also helped to arrange free transport between the harbour and the hotel. The door gift is particularly thoughtful which contains a nice UV protective umbrella, mosquito repellant and sun block.
The room was spacious, clean and tastefully designed! Ours was the ground floor room with the garden view. Though the hotel swimming pool is right outside, the lush greenery offered great privacy. The air-conditioned and pleasantly perfumes room was literally my oasis during this short island trip! And it is quite budget friendly!:)
Absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who’s planning to visit the island!
Overall A+ experience!
(Though it’d be a plus point if the laundry could be ironed.)

YYigexihuanzhenshidianpingdeyonghuI didn't take any photos this time. First, let me talk about the facilities: I forgot to check for a bathtub, assuming there would be one. It's my own fault for not checking. The sink and shower were fine, no major problems.
Cleanliness: The walls upstairs in my room were black, but the grout lines were peeling off, making it difficult to place anything on them and leaving black residue. This wasn't a good experience.
Environment: The environment was okay, but it's located in an area full of guesthouses. I recommend renting an electric bike; riding one in the evening is incredibly relaxing.
Service: The service was impeccable, deserving a 5-star rating.
The downside: One bad thing was the swimming pool! We've taken our child to Sanya dozens of times and never had an ear infection from swimming, but here, one time we had to go home to see a doctor. The doctor said it was from swimming; something got in. Looking back, I don't know why the pool water in Beihai is salty—was it just seawater? Sanya's pools use disinfectant additives, which I suspect this one didn't.

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

The property is perfectly located in the Southern part of the Island near Crocodile Mountain and its beautiful beach as well as South Bay with countless options of tasty seafood. The room is big, bright, clean and smells great. There is everything a traveller needs. The highlight is clearly the boss, she is very warm, welcoming and very kind. There was a book in my room which I took out of curiosity to read on the beach, and I realized it contained great messages. I asked the boss if she is willing to sell it to me but she gave it for free. She told me that she deliberately puts books with great messages for young people in the room since many students stay in her property. Wow...I wish more people in this world would be like the boss. Don't hesitate and book a room here. If I ever happen to be again on this island, I know where to stay!!

LLaoqiang2017For my Beihai trip, I specifically chose the relatively new Marriott Resort, and it truly lived up to the Marriott brand – a delightful experience! The hotel design is stunning and unique, resembling a giant ship docked by the sea. The surroundings are beautiful, and it's incredibly convenient, with direct access to the beach right from a side exit. The room was spacious, and the facilities were excellent, offering beautiful sea views right from the balcony. Breakfast was extensive, and every aspect showcased the signature Marriott quality. What truly stood out was the high standard of service, from the butler to the front desk, everyone was warm, attentive, and thoughtful.

The overall facilities of the room are very good, the whole room looks quite new and not old, and the overall style is very warm. It is quite surprising at this price. The only downside is that some mosquitoes, but perhaps the climate reasons can be understood and the boss is also very intimately equipped with a mosquito repellent. There is also a little yellow stain on a bath towel, I hope the boss will pay more attention to hygiene in the future.

GGuest UserBecause I have children, I choose to look clean and hygienic. The hotel is really clean and the toilet looks very clean. The room has no extra decoration, very clean and no smell. The pool downstairs is also very good. There is shade, Although the breakfast is relatively simple, it should be very refreshing by the owner.
