The hotel is 20 minutes away by walking from Shiluokou beach (great for corals, sandy beaches, supervised swimming areas, water motorsports, and low-tide foraging for crabs) and the entry point to Crocodile Mountain volcanic geopark. Nanwan street (restaurants, fresh seafood market, shops, and the starting point for scuba diving, boat fishing, etc.) is an hour away, so you might want to hail a "taxi" there. Note that DiDi doesn't work on the island, but the hotel's owner helped us book taxis (including from and to the ferry terminal) when notified in advance. During daytime you will also see various taxis loitering around touristy areas.
Our hotel room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. During the day air temperatures were reaching 35 °C and the humidity was high, which made us really appreciate the air conditioning in our room. There were cotton towels in the bathroom (which we prefer over disposable ones) and there is a balcony for drying clothes on (just ask the hotel owner for some clothes hangers).
The hotel owner in general was very helpful, and she recommended us the best places to visit and activities to do. We actually extended our stay in this hotel to 4 nights, because we found this island so enjoyable.
