Shangri-La Hotel Beihai

This is my second time staying at the Shangri-La Beihai. Although the hotel is a bit dated, the service attitude is excellent. Tina, the front desk attendant, was very enthusiastic and gave us a free upgrade to a sea view room. Looking out the window, the ocean view was stunning. The hotel breakfast was also very sumptuous. I think it offers great value for money.

The hotel offers excellent services, including complimentary sand toys for kids. The pool and beach are conveniently located downstairs. Just a short walk away is the popular beachfront promenade, a fantastic spot to catch the sunset.

The Shangri-La Hotel is an established luxury hotel, though its facilities are a bit dated. However, its location is excellent, with complete amenities nearby. The room offers a sea view, so there's no need to go to Silver Beach.

For our holiday trip, we specifically chose the Shangri-La Hotel Beihai, trusting its established brand and service quality. We weren't disappointed. The bellman was enthusiastic about handling our luggage upon arrival. Lulu at the front desk was very friendly, introducing our room package, nearby facilities, attractions, and even offering delicious food recommendations. She also informed us about hotel facility operating hours and locations, and helped us book children's activities – excellent service! Our luggage was delivered to our room. The pool water was very comfortable, and we were lucky with great weather during our holiday, making it extra beautiful. The sea view from our room was also stunning, and on clear days, the sunset was exceptionally gorgeous, visible right from the hotel's seaside promenade. No need to jostle with crowds on the bridge; there are even seats where you can order coffee! Fantastic! The facilities are comprehensive, the free sauna is great, and breakfast is abundant, a mix of Chinese and Western, with local specialties. The room itself was clean, tidy, and bright. The furnishings, though classic, had character. The location is superb; the Underwater World and Old Street are within walking distance. If you're looking for local seafood, the nearby food stalls offer great value for money, with no bad experiences. All hotel staff were polite, greeting us as we passed. Overall, it met 5-star standards. We'll definitely choose this place again on our next visit!

As a long-standing five-star hotel in Beihai, the Shangri-La truly excels in service. The personal touches and attention to detail are excellent, which is why our children insist on staying here for a few days every year. The complimentary 'Manyun Travel Photography' package offered by the hotel was fantastic; the photographer was incredibly patient and helped our kids take many beautiful pictures.

The service was warm and attentive, and room service was efficient. The sea-view room was well-equipped, and the views were breathtaking. The breakfast selection was rich, and the dinner seafood buffet, which included unlimited red and white wine, is especially recommended.

The hotel is pretty good, offering great value for money. The lobby and facilities have a very down-to-earth feel, and for a 30-year-old hotel, it's remarkably well-maintained. The sea view from the room is beautiful, and there's a pool and beach. The nearby old street is very close, so the location and environment are both excellent. The service is also great; Lulu at the front desk arranged a very satisfying room and gave good recommendations for local food. Highly recommended!

The environment is good, but the room facilities are a bit old. The hotel has a swimming pool, which my kids loved. You can access a seaside boardwalk behind the hotel, and the scenery there is beautiful. It's also quite close to the old town.
