Hotels near Nanwan Center, Beihai

The environment is great, the hotel beach is uncrowded, and the sea here is the most beautiful I've seen during my stay on Weizhou Island. The service was warm and attentive; several staff members greeted us upon arrival. Our butler was always available to answer questions. Every day, we received breakfast, fruit, afternoon tea, and a goodnight stew, which made us feel really pampered, haha! The room was clean, and all the amenities were complete (facial towels, eye masks, and earplugs were all provided). Overall, it feels like a very thoughtful hotel, and the experience was excellent.

Get this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave. Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play. The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way. The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned. The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture) If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe. I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China. However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too. These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host! I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

The guesthouse was new, clean, and well-equipped. It was bright, comfortable, and had great water pressure – hot water came out instantly, and the toilet was odor-free. The owners, a husband and wife, were incredibly welcoming, and the beautiful landlady even upgraded our room for free! The owners took us to Qiaogang Wharf to buy seafood. Their cooking skills were superb; every dish was delicious, and they only charged a token processing fee – fantastic! 👍 Great value! 👍 It's only a 10-minute walk to Yintan Tide Sculpture Square and the Danjia Town. Getting to Qiaogang Style Street and Qiaogang Wharf by electric scooter is very convenient. Highly recommended! Also, the hairdryer was a new model and worked incredibly well.

I was very curious how a property with such an affordable price has a such a high rating. I was immediately convinced by myself. The property is perfectly located in the Southern part of the Island near Crocodile Mountain and its beautiful beach as well as South Bay with countless options of tasty seafood. The room is big, bright, clean and smells great. There is everything a traveller needs. The highlight is clearly the boss, she is very warm, welcoming and very kind. There was a book in my room which I took out of curiosity to read on the beach, and I realized it contained great messages. I asked the boss if she is willing to sell it to me but she gave it for free. She told me that she deliberately puts books with great messages for young people in the room since many students stay in her property. Wow...I wish more people in this world would be like the boss. Don't hesitate and book a room here. If I ever happen to be again on this island, I know where to stay!!

The owner of this guesthouse is from Northeast China, and we truly felt their warmth. From the moment we got off the boat, the driver picked us up and even told us jokes. Once we arrived at the guesthouse, the owner explained the sightseeing routes on Weizhou Island to us, worried we might make a mistake. She always reminded us to be careful when we went out and to come back early at night – she was so incredibly thoughtful. When we were leaving after two days, she even gave us a free ride to the port to catch the ferry, and she personally escorted us to our car. The location is also incredibly convenient; it's close to everything. Highly recommend it! Everyone should stay here!

The homestay is beautifully laid out and much thought has gone into the design. It’s very quiet and relaxing, and has lovely benches and swings outside surrounded by beautiful plants. The owner is very eager to please. You can walk about 10 minutes to get to the beach - the beach and the park next to it is beautiful and stretches for miles. When I stayed in March/April, the weather was miserable and cold so I didn’t make use of the pool. One thing to keep in mind, is that this is a homestay catering to Chinese people - that means breakfast is standard Chinese and the mattress on the bed is also Chinese-firm. Neither of the owners speak English, but you can add the lady on Wechat to communicate with her. Being a homestay means less crowds and more relaxing. The owner was very kind to refund me one night when I decided to shorten my stay due to the crappy weather. I really appreciate that she was flexible and accommodating with this.

The room was spacious with electric curtains, offering great privacy and a stunning sea view. It was a short walk downstairs to the beautiful beach. The breakfast had a good variety, and there was a bathtub, making for a truly comfortable trip.

The boss is warm and considerate, the room is clean and hygienic, it is close to the beach, and transportation is provided. I will stay here again next time. Highly recommended

20260205-06 Shankou Hotel on G228 ¥153+- Hepu River Yun Business Hotel Shankou Town Zhenbei Avenue, Hepu, Guangxi, Room 5007 19:22 Arrival as missed exit on highway and had to drive to next one ... Quickly booked in. 1st room Chinese toilet, one with sitting toilet smelled like smoke, then 5007. Then kettle's plug's 1 point was broken off. Give other kettle. Still very nice ... Cheapest on my trip from Dongxing on Vietnam border along coast to Zhuhai, but most comfortable! Very long duvet for me as I am 1.83m tall. Plenty of nice hot water! Clean bedding. Spacious room with large place to make tea etc, to charge devices and put luggage on... Bathroom also has place next to basin to put your vanity case or bag.... (I travel with my own toiletries as I am allergic to many stuff). Everything is clean. There is a lift - convenient for 5aking luggage to room. Parking in backyard very convenient. Only draw back: Glasses didn't look clean. Carpet could be vacuum cleaned. One bed light didn't work. @
