Hotels near Fucui Pavilion in Beijing

I went to Beijing on New Year's Day and was spoiled for choice in terms of accommodation. Then I booked this place because I thought it would be convenient to eat at Hengji. When I arrived, I immediately felt that I had made the right choice. It's a B&B in an alley. It has a small door, but there's a cave inside. The terrace room I booked was upgraded to a family room with more space. The room was cleaned during the day, it was quiet at night, and the staff in the store were very welcoming. It's right next to Ping'anli subway station and it's very convenient to go anywhere. If I have the opportunity to come to Beijing again in the future, I will book this place~~

We arrived at one o'clock in the morning and booked a double room. The waiter said that it would cost ➕100 for an extra bed to accommodate 3 people. (I called to inquire before and said it could accommodate 3 people, and the room type was also marked as not allowing extra beds. Now I don't charge ➕100. (accommodation), add 100 and it will be 500. You can stay with good wine and don’t have to sleep on a folding bed. The room type was different from the one I booked. The windows of the room I stayed in were very high! The next morning I discovered that the room on the left after entering the door was of a different grade than the one I stayed in!

The hotel is in a good location. When you go out, walk a few minutes to the left to Yinding Bridge, and a few minutes to the right to the Lotus Market, subway station and Prince Kung's Mansion. The room is relatively spacious. There is a bathroom and a washing area at the entrance. There is a leisure area further inside, equipped with a refrigerator and a coffee machine. There are plenty of drinks. When you are tired from playing, you can sit down and rest, drink tea and chat. Further inside is the bedroom. , a sliding door is installed to separate it from the outside area. Overall, I like it very much. The stay is very comfortable and the service is very good.

I stayed 31 nights during january 2024 at 7 days inn hotel. I chose this hotel because it was very close to the subway, in the center of Beijing and the heating system was good according to the reviews. I changed room the first day so I could have a little bit better room. The previous room had no universal charger and was very dark, the windows in front of a wall. My room was on the first floor, just next to the shared bathroom and to the water dispenser. The room was very big and quiet (unless people talk in the corridor), not a lot of light but some rooms has more sun light than others. No fridge inside but since it was january I put my food outside the windows if I wanted to keep it fresh. If you want to warm some food, you can use the microwage in the commun area but I never used it. The commun area is very close from the entrance door so it was very chilly. The staff was nice but almost no english. They explained to me how to use the washing machine and once the wifi was not working so they helped me. Internet was definetly not very good but I was able to watch youtube with my vpn. I will start now talking about the shared bathroom (which I already knew was shared when booking) but I didn't know the toilet would be squat toilets. I think if I knew before, I wouldn't choose this hotel. There was no lock in the toilets. The shower room has one and was very cold (because winter). The hot water was always there but I took my shower usually in the morning (so less people). The shared bathroom was dirty mostly because of clients that didn't clean after their buisness. There was regulary water on the floor so I was just going with my shoes on at some point. The washing machine was broken the first 2 weeks and then got replaced. I'm still a bit confused if clients can use it or only the staff, but I used it anyway. The area is maybe a bit empty at first but if you go to the Hong Qiao Pearl Market, in the basement there is a big food court where you can try chinese food (or subway and macdonalds). Overall I liked my journey in this hotel but I think it was too expensive for a shared bathroom this old and dirty. I paid 1000 euros for 31 days.

The location of the hotel is within the second ring road. The environment is pretty good. The service is very good and the facilities are very satisfactory. The front desk service is very enthusiastic. Guests will be notified in time when they leave their belongings. They can also store luggage. The room is very clean and has complete facilities. The housekeeper will clean the room every day. There are also free drinks and water. Whatever is needed in the room will be replenished in time. There are many local specialty snacks in Beijing around the hotel, such as Daoxiangcun pastries and Qingfeng Baozi shop. There is also a yogurt shop opposite and a fruit shop. The hotel also has a free laundry room. The light music in the lobby is not bad. There are also fruits, which are delivered by small robots. The meal was very good and highly recommended.

I think the hotel staff are super amazing and very friendly. I reached from huangshan at 3 pm and previous guests were still 10 mins away from checking out from Panaromic balcony room type I booked. So they quickly upgraded me to a better room and offered me another upgrade to a ground floor room with a yard and very cool traditional Chinese bedroom (an expensive one compared to my booking). Location wise 7-12 mins walking from four subway stations. Breakfast ain't swerved so that's why gave 3/5 for Food. Anyway, Good food options like Mr. Shi dumplings, Coast coffee and bar, Courthouse coffee and bar and many other old Winehouses and hutong restaurants are 10 mins walking radius and many other options nearby. Walk the old alleys and hutongs and find your way. Hotel is super clean. They even helped contact many tour operators as per my needs and requirements, and helped me book a trip to simatai and gubei water town. Communication with staff in china is difficult but hotel reception kid with little English speaking and reading capabilities was super sweet to help my stay make a wonderful one. The location was very convenient and the staff was very friendly and willing to help as well. For three persons, the price of the hotel was quite ideal. One inconvenience of the room is the clear bathroom door. We were with three college students (2 girls and 1 boy) and when someone wants to take a shower it is a little inconvenient. Another minor issue was how little the cleaning lady visited. She didn’t take out the trash often and didn’t replace the toilet paper, which forced us to visit the reception anytime we wanted new water bottles or toilet paper. Besides these minor issues, the hotel was quite nice and the location is absolutely ideal!

Location: The hotel is in the middle of Hutong community, it is great for getting a glimpse of life in Hutong. Once you make your way out of the Hutong, it is close to a variety of restaurants. It is close to Yaoji Gulou store, which you can have a taste of traditional Beijing breakfast. The downside of being tucked in the Hutong is, it takes 10 min to walk in (ok in normal standards, but a bit hard when check-in/check-out with kids and luggage), and some Didi driver would whine a bit when they drive in. Interior: The lobby has many traditional Chinese activities for you to try for free, such as traditional clothes, go chess, chinese chess, Guzhen, tea set etc. Fun for both kids and adults. The room is nice and clean. Staff: Staff were very welcoming and responsive. You can tell they've put a lot of thoughts into their services down to the little details such as when to pack the breakfast for us.

The Dongsi Hotel (Dongsi Fandian) is located in central Beijing, with walking distance of Wangfujing Shopping Street and Dongsi Station on Metro Line 5. I really enjoyed my two stays here. Staff are very nice - particularly the manager when I was ill and had to do a late checkout, thank you! The beds are clean and comfortable. Location is good as it’s very close to a Line 2 station. Love the aesthetic of the hostel too and the cafe. I just had two problems: 1. I wish there was more separation between the bathrooms and the cafe/the door to the hotel. When you go there you’re visible to the cafe and to the street as the bathrooms are right next to the entrance, so if it’s early and you’re in your pyjamas it’s a bit weird! Also there is no lock to the showers - just a door and then curtains to the cubicles which I didn’t love as anyone from the cafe could just come in if they wanted. 2. I had thought the room was very clean as my bed was - but on my second stay I noticed that there was a lot of black mould growing on the wall behind the bed. This grossed me out a bit and obviously it’s not good to breathe in!
