Zhongyu Select Hotel Reviews

1. This hotel shares an incredibly similar name with the Zhongyu Century Yuli Hotel, they're in the same building, share a front desk, and even the same night staff. But while that one feels like a four-star, this one is more like a hostel! I was lured in by a group deal on another platform and accidentally booked the wrong one. I only found out it wasn't the same hotel when I checked in, and of course, the reservation was non-refundable. The worst part is it was even more expensive than the other place! If I didn't want the hassle of moving rooms, I wouldn't have extended my stay through Ctrip. 2. The room was tiny, the window was tiny, the sink was tiny (the faucet almost extended past the basin), and the hanging space was tiny. 3. The bed was incredibly soft, which is really bad for anyone with back problems. If the staff hadn't kindly found a solution, I would have really paid for a miserable experience. 4. The bathroom's wet/dry separation was purely symbolic; most of the shower water splashed onto the toilet. 5. The hotel occupies the entire 4th floor, and it's a maze of small rooms with poor signage, making it very hard to find your room! 6. The soundproofing is terrible. You can clearly hear conversations from next door. The 3rd floor is a KTV, so whether you can sleep after a long day completely depends on luck and if people are singing downstairs.
