YUYAN YOUTH HOSTEL

Cleanliness - the room, toilet and bathrooms were generally very clean and I stayed there for 7 days. Location - I took 4 minutes to walk from Jingfengmen subway station to the hostel and 17 minutes to walk from the hostel to Beijing South Railway Station (to go to Tianjin). The subway is also in a fairly central location to get to the main attractions easily. There's also a bus stop right in front which is good to go to places like Qianmen and Tiananmen Square cos using the subway would involve a lot more traveling time and cost. Staff - was ok, didn't interact much with them even though I stayed a week though some didn't seem that friendly (not even say hello). Amenities - big locker is good but would've appreciated a system to tap the room card to open the locker for security cos it's easy to tell the locker code for all those in the same bunk plus I don't like to have to fiddle with the lock so often. Overall a very good place though! Too bad I'll be over the age limit of 45 soon

Absolutely great hostel! Clean, secure, well located and kindly operated hostel, an excellent value for money. The bedding, toilets, showers and laundry facilities were all on point. Special thanks to all the hostel staff for kind service! Can recommend as a young female solo traveler from the Nordics.

Good location for getting to south station. Not far from the metro. Very clean and new facilities, I was able to meet some other travellers in the common area which is always nice. There was a small fridge which was amazing. Good aircon. Clear signage and easy to find the hostel within the building. I arrived early and expected to just leave my bag, but I was able to check in early which was fab. The guy at the front desk who checked me in had good English so was a very smooth process.

This was my first experience at a hostel and I have no regrets. As a matter of fact, best decision I made. Met a bunch of world travellers, met the lovely owner and her friend, the location was excellent, and I am a muslim solo traveller, and this was extremely accommodating. Clean and cute, and most importantly, the bathroom has bidets!!! Would do it again? Most definitely. Would recommend? 100%

You have to take the train to get to all the tourist spots but it’s not that bad. The hostel is very cozy and clean. I am very happy with my decision to stay here for a few days.

Friendly staff and environment. Near to metro station. Also halal food nearby. We love that hostel.
