This hotel has a fantastic ambiance, with both the public areas and rooms boasting excellent design and a unique character. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. The complimentary fruit was fresh and delicious; I highly recommend the ginseng fruit. I usually never eat it, but after the kind recommendation from the front desk lady, I instantly fell in love with it. Breakfast was excellent, a combination of buffet and à la carte, which meant less waste and fresh food – super! The hotel is right by Shichahai, with a back exit leading directly to Houhai, which is incredibly convenient. A stroll along Shichahai at night was absolutely delightful.

Extremely satisfied! This is the best value-for-money hotel I could find in this location 👍🏻. Xiao Zhang, who took special care of us, was also very warm and cheerful. I will definitely stay here again next time!

Extremely satisfied! Given the location within the 2nd Ring Road, the price, environment, and service offer incredible value for money. You can see Houhai from the balcony, which is just wonderful for sipping tea and enjoying afternoon tea. A special shout-out to Xiao Dou at the parking lot for his warm, attentive, and reliable service! 👍👍

Great location, right by Houhai Lake. It's a peaceful spot despite being in a bustling area. The breakfast is freshly made and delicious. The service is excellent, and staff member Xiao Xu gave us a wonderful experience over our 3-day stay.

The service was excellent and the environment was lovely. The bedding was very comfortable and clean. There was even a cute little cat at the hotel!

A quiet hotel in the bustling city center! It's just a 10-minute walk from Prince Gong's Mansion, and there's a Xin Jing Xi hotpot restaurant right in the courtyard. Houhai Park is right outside, and it's about a 20-minute walk to the Shichahai bar street – super convenient! If you like experiencing different city life and immersing yourself in Hutong culture, this is definitely the place to go!

Took my kids to Beijing during the summer holidays, but couldn't stay here. My friend recommended it, so I made time to stay for two days during the National Day holiday, and it was really good! Parking was very convenient, and the room service was excellent. On the first night, we stayed on the first floor which lacked a bit of privacy. I mentioned it to the front desk staff, and they arranged for us to move to a second-floor room the next day! The hotel has a back entrance where you can swipe your room card to access Shichahai. My daughter and I walked around there the next morning, it was so convenient!

A unique living experience! First off, the service was excellent; as a solo female traveler, I felt well taken care of. Secondly, the location is superb. The back gate opens right onto Houhai Lake, and the front gate leads to charming hutong alleys. A short walk brings you to Prince Gong's Mansion. It's a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, like stepping back a hundred years in time. I'd definitely stay again if I have the chance.

Out of the three hotels I stayed at during this Beijing trip, HUAJIAN TANG Houhai was the only one that truly impressed me. The staff were enthusiastic, the facilities were excellent, and the location was great. Overall, a perfect experience, highly recommended!
