Xiyuan Hotel Beijing

The room was comfortable, and the service was excellent. It's an old-school five-star hotel with a convenient restaurant that offers popular dishes at affordable prices.

Cleanliness: The breakfast restaurant's hygiene was appalling, and despite our feedback, nothing changed. The first day, there were stains on the glass, which we thought was a one-off, so we didn't take a picture. The second day, there was an entire used tissue in a plate (Pictures 1 and 2). After complaining, they were very polite and offered a compensation plan, but it wasn't suitable for us. So, I just asked for improvements, not compensation. Yet, on the third day, the glasses still had unwashed foam in them (Picture 3)... My feedback to the restaurant manager went completely unanswered. By the time we checked out on the fourth day, no one had given me any response regarding the issue.

This hotel is a long-standing, five-star establishment, and it's impressive how well it maintains its standards in today's competitive hotel market. The location is excellent, and the service is attentive. Although the room was a bit small, almost all of my requests made prior to booking were met.

The hotel has a very classic, somewhat retro vibe, still retaining the decor style of its past as a five-star establishment, so naturally, some of the facilities are a bit dated compared to modern standards. However, the overall environment is quite good. The lobby is grand, and the staff service is excellent. The concierge, front desk, and restaurant staff were all friendly and enthusiastic, making for a great experience. Breakfast is served in the revolving restaurant on the 26th floor, offering fantastic views and a good variety of dishes. It was a bit chaotic during my stay due to the crowds, but the food was replenished quickly. Given that hotel prices in Beijing skyrocket during the summer, Xiyuan Hotel's excellent location and reasonable rates make it a highly recommended choice overall.

Beijing Xiyuan Hotel is a well-established star-rated hotel. The rooms are classic and comfortable, very spacious, and the bathroom is huge with a separate bathtub and shower. It's also conveniently located near attractions like the Summer Palace and Old Summer Palace. Highly recommended.

This hotel is located next to the Beijing Zoo, and the transportation is quite convenient. It's an old five-star hotel, and although the room facilities are a bit dated, the cleanliness and hygiene are excellent. The room service is also very responsive. I would choose this hotel again on my next trip to Beijing.

The location is convenient, with shopping malls nearby. The breakfast area has a great atmosphere, and the food and service were excellent. Due to an unexpected event, I couldn't check out on time, but the hotel kindly extended my check-out time without extra charge, which was very considerate.

My colleague recommended this place, saying it's better to stay somewhere nice when on a business trip for the company. Turns out I regret it. This hotel has all the flaws typical of an old Beijing star-rated hotel. First, the service is genuinely terrible, with absolutely no service awareness. It's a five-star hotel, but they don't seem to train their staff at all. Booking a room required both a deposit and a pre-authorization; how little do they trust their guests? Even basic things like directing guests to the elevators after check-in are beyond them. They also don't allow food delivery up to the room, nor do they bring it up for you. The bedding is also awful. Both the bed and the sheets are so hard that they actually scraped my knee. Attention to detail is completely lacking as well. In a five-star hotel room, the charging outlet was practically falling out of the wall and hadn't been repaired.

The cleaning was impeccable, and the housekeeper was incredibly friendly and attentive! A special thanks to Li Jun at the gate for his help. The courtyard was very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the location was convenient too!
