Jingshan Garden Hotel

Excellent little hotel! The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in in a hotel. Very clean, good service, excellent location. Especially enjoyed the bowl of fresh fruit that was updated during my stay. Stayed there for 7 nights - great walking to not only tourist areas but fun night life as well and yet the hotel was quiet and peaceful. My favorite thing though was the bathtub - full sized and comfy. Good towels and toiletries. Would stay there again!

It’s a nice little place (can do with some more upkeep and general cheerfulness) and the general location is quite convenient for Jingshan Park, Forbidden City and others but it is a little inconvenient for getting to the subway. Taxis cannot drop you till the doorstep and while that is fine - currently the road leading to the hotel itself is strewn with building materials and muddy puddles. To be honest it should settle down in some months. From my quick look around - there are better Hutong than this as well (better markets etc.) but this one is great for general location and quietness. Considering all the above - I think it can be more appropriately priced. Otherwise, the staff were excellent with all help like booking tickets, directions etc. Language was not a problem at all. Breakfast was good but not value for money. The courtyard looks great at night but shows its age in the daytime.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, close to Jingshan Park, close to the north exit of The Forbidden City and near to some Hu Tongs. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced. Staff were helpful and booked a taxi to the airport for us. There is a lot of building work going on right outside the hotel a at the moment and the path to the hotel entrance is looking a bit rough, but there were no problems with noise and it will be amazing once it's done.

Love the courtyard, lovely breakfast. Wonderful place to stay to learn about Chinese traditional culture.

I loved staying at this hotel, it has a beautiful courtyard and traditional vibe that makes you feel connected with the history of Beijing. The reception staff are very friendly and can speak English which is handy. There’s a cute restaurant that’s open to the public and the food was delicious, there’s not many restaurants or food places nearby so I found having some food in the morning before heading out avoided the need to try and search for food on an empty stomach.
