This hotel boasts an excellent location. It's super easy to get to: just one stop on Line 14 from Beijing South Station, then three stops on Line 8, and you'll find it a mere 5-minute walk from Exit G. You can even walk to Tiananmen Square in about 10 minutes. Getting to attractions like Nanluoguxiang, Shichahai, Niujie, and Prince Gong's Mansion is also very convenient by subway. Step out of the hotel and turn right, and you're in Xianyukou Alley. Walk for about 3 minutes down this food-filled lane, and you'll hit Qianmen Food Pedestrian Street, with Dashilar Alley right across from it. There's so much great food and shopping around! At the end of Qianmen Street, you're directly facing Zhengyang Gate Tower, offering a stunning view. The rooms aren't huge, but the hotel has a charming courtyard layout. The front desk staff are all very warm and welcoming, and the cleaning ladies are also lovely. Since traveling in Beijing involves a lot of walking and time, I chose this hotel for its proximity to Tiananmen. I didn't have to wake up super early to see the flag-raising ceremony; I left at 6 AM, and it took about 40 minutes to walk there and get through security. It was a great experience, not nearly as frustrating as some online reviews suggested.
