The Universal Studios Grand Hotel

Booked this room way in advance (by sheer luck and determination!) and got to stay in a 1:1 replica of Gru's home. A special shout-out to Mr. Lusailong from Guest Services for his enthusiastic hospitality throughout our stay, both online via WeChat and in-person at the front desk – he was absolutely excellent! 👍

Facilities: Well-equipped! Hygiene: Clean and tidy! Environment: Elegant and comfortable! Service: Warm and attentive! Highly recommend staying here! The benefit of entering the park an hour early is fantastic – you can skip the queues for attractions!!!!

Overall, I was quite satisfied. The room was very clean, and the public areas were consistently maintained and cleaned by staff. The hotel environment was also pretty good, but the soundproofing was poor. The staff were very friendly, enthusiastic, and polite. The windows in the room couldn't be opened for ventilation. There were too many individual light switches, and no master control. The TV only offered digital channels and Universal Movies, with no screen casting option.

The soundproofing in the room was decent, and the hotel is very close to the park. The perk of early entry (one hour before opening) was fantastic. However, the breakfast cost was outrageous – over 800 for two adults and one child! The room itself was quite basic and small. A mixed bag, just for your reference.

The best part about staying at this hotel is the early park access. We lined up at 6:40 AM and entered the park at 7:40 AM, getting to enjoy three popular attractions without any queues – definitely worth it! However, the hotel facilities are pretty standard, especially the sealed windows, which make the room really stuffy and unventilated. Even on a cold day, we had to turn on the AC to sleep, otherwise, it would have been unbearable. Plus, the window overlooks an AC unit platform, and the room itself lacks any Universal Studios ambiance. Check-in was also a long wait, and we couldn't get into our room until 4 PM. I'd suggest they add more staff to the front desk. Furthermore, they didn't offer any gifts for kids, just a souvenir room key card. Compared to Disney hotels, the staff here were also less friendly and welcoming.

Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped with plenty of lounge areas. The decor is simple yet elegant, making it very pleasing to the eye. Cleanliness: The hygiene is excellent, very clean and comfortable. The room has great soundproofing, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. Environment: The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is superb. Being able to enter the park early means less queuing and a much better experience. Service: The service is exceptional – attentive, patient, and thorough. All staff members are very helpful and patiently answer all questions. The breakfast and dinner buffets are incredibly rich and delicious, and the room service was also very satisfying.
