Horrorific. Firstly, this place is so remote, it barely counts as Beijing. Then you will never find it you don't contact them. If you do, you will be greeted with an automatic answer saying: "Please ask the question, I will answer it.", although my question if I can check in has already asked. The next answer after you repeated your question will be: "I don't have time for you. Come back later." "Excuse me?" Okay, I carried my luggage to dinner then, and as the owner didn't seem to care in the meanwhile, I tried again. Now he sent me a house number with floor and room number and after asking the security guy, I was pointed to the correct building. I rang the bell and by entering the apartment an elderly man basically started yelling at me in Chinese. When he realized that I didn't understand he yelled even harder. He actually wanted to know if I had a booking (if I hadn't, how come I'd be there?) but when I showed him my booking, he didn't understand because it was in English. Check in was completed after several rounds of yelling. The rest of the night I spent in a cloud of cigarette smoke because everyone in the room was smoking. They turned on a huge fan in the morning that was super noisy. Room had nothing but a bed and a huge ashtray, one bathroom for almost 20 people so you'd always had to wait. Fellas, this is not a hostel. It's a small apartment with as many beds as fit in. It is an interesting experience to see how people here are, but think again if you want to come. To this place or to this country as a whole as what I describe here has been common pattern. Bed seemed clean but a cockroach crawled around in my bed.
