JI Hotel (Beijing Xidan) Reviews

I checked in on July 24th. I was visiting Beijing and decided to see a friend. I ordered takeout late at night, and it's my habit to use the security chain on the door. However, when I went to get my takeout, I found I couldn't unlatch the chain. I was essentially trapped in my room. So, I called the front desk around 1 AM. The front desk was staffed by a young woman who seemed unsure of her abilities or something. I told her I was trapped, and she even said something like, 'Even if I come up, I can't open it,' and her attitude was quite poor. I couldn't understand her service standard. I asked her to find someone to open the door. She called her duty manager or someone, who told me there was a rotating mechanism on the door that could open it, but there was absolutely nothing of the sort. He even said he would find an empty room to show me, but since there wasn't one, he couldn't find a solution. He even claimed that most hotels have this, which just goes to show that as hotel staff, they have no understanding of their own hotel's facilities. Finally, an engineer was called, and they used a drill at 1 AM to break open the door chain. Setting aside whether it disturbed other guests, I felt the experience was extremely poor. The final outcome was that the chain might have gotten stuck with wood chips or something inside the door, and it was eventually fixed. After all that, the hotel didn't offer any apologies or compensation; they said nothing, as if nothing had happened. I was trapped for probably 40 minutes, which caused my takeout to get cold. Leaving aside the food issue, the hotel's service and facilities are truly subpar in an era where the hotel industry is becoming increasingly advanced. Furthermore, the broken security chain also poses a serious safety hazard. The hotel needs to take its service attitude, standards, and facility maintenance seriously. In short, I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Excellent service, highly recommended! The bedding and desk were dust-free, and the bathroom was spotless and odor-free. The attention to detail was impressive, making my stay very reassuring. Even the corners were clean, and the carpet had no stains, showing genuine care in the cleaning. The bed was just right—not too soft, not too firm—and I woke up without any back pain. The soundproofing was also great, so it was completely quiet. The room felt spacious and not at all cramped, with comfortable lighting and ventilation. It was a perfect and relaxing stay for a business trip.

The location of Hanting Premium Hotel is really convenient; it's super close to attractions and the subway station. I didn't have to drag my luggage around unnecessarily, and it's easy to find food and do some shopping nearby. The room was cleaned thoroughly, even the corners were dust-free. The bathroom was spotless, and the toiletries smelled great, which made my stay very comfortable. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helped me get a high-floor room in advance. I forgot my charger, and they brought one up quickly after I called – excellent attention to detail!

The breakfast selection was incredibly rich with fresh hot dishes, perfectly cooked congee, and delicious freshly ground soy milk and noodles. You can definitely eat your fill comfortably.

The bathroom's wet and dry areas were well-separated, hot water came out quickly, and the water pressure was stable. When I called with a request, someone arrived to help within 5 minutes; the response time was super quick. For check-out, I didn't have to wait; I just handed in the card and left, which saved a lot of time. The breakfast selection was comprehensive, with hot dishes, steamed buns, and porridge, all tasting great. It's only a 5-minute walk from the subway exit, making it incredibly easy to find. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, and it's just a taxi's starting fare to tourist attractions – the location is absolutely perfect!
