The hotel is right next to the Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Area and very close to the cable car entrance, so there is no need to take a shuttle bus. The tickets and cable car tickets provided by the hotel are directly cleared through customs, which is very convenient. The restaurant tastes good and is very affordable. The floor heating in the room is sufficient. Children's play facilities are complete. Living here is uniquely convenient. We took the cable car at eight o'clock in the morning. There were very few people. We climbed all the way to the Haohan Slope and the Hero's Platform in the No. 20 Watchtower. When we came down from the return trip, there were already huge crowds of people, and there was already a long queue for the cable car, which was a perfect staggered peak.

We arrived there few minutes to midnight called the hotel they opened for us and helped us with our luggage which was amazing. Pros: the location is amazing few min walk to the Great Wall, didi gets there no problem, the room style is also cute and the guest is very friendly Cons: the noise and smoke, it’s a guesthouse, downstairs is a restaurant we haven’t tried the food there tho and in the morning a bunch of people smoking and talking very loudly, also our room was next to the balcony in the wall which again smoke smell was disgusting, if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep in past 7 AM get noise cancellation buds you will need them. But overall we enjoyed our stay it was great. Thank you for having us ❤️

What a delightful little oasis the Brickyard Retreat is! My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in a Classic Twin room. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant. The breakfast was incredible!! I also had a lovely massage at the spa. The shuttle bus to the wall was very convenient. We would recommend this property to anyone looking to have a nice getaway at the wall. All service was impeccable. Any small request was carried out efficiently. I hope to have the opportunity to return some day!

The customer service was hoping for a 5 star review but I want to be completely honest here. The Location is great for visitors who want to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. there’s a little cafe beside, coffee is great too. But the villa itself needs refurbishments and clean up, don’t expect the rooms to be as long as a 4/5 star hotel standard, you may find some walls and tiles turned yellow and mouldy, I’ve noticed bugs in the rooms too. Overall a decent stay for someone who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of city life but for the price point that I paid for the villa, I won’t say it value for money.

After being exhausted from riding in the rain, the staff at Fanqi North Station also prepared warm-up snacks intimately. Stayed for one night, the children were very happy, the service was very good, very warm, the decoration was very clean, there was floor heating and air conditioning, it would not be cold. At night, the children were very happy in the yard, thank the boss for his help. There was no photo for breakfast, it was very rich, there were Western food and Chinese food, and I couldn't finish it. The Great Wall is a little more than 1 km away, not far away, young people are walking, but people with children or elderly are a little distance, it is recommended to add a pick-up service. This is the first time I seriously evaluate a store and it is worth recommending. The dishes cooked by the boss lady are so delicious. The portions are generous, and they also purchase tickets on behalf of us. They are very welcoming and feel like home. Love it, love it. The room has a foot massager that you can pay by scanning the QR code. It is recommended to check in at night and go to the Great Wall before 8 a.m. the next morning. You need to walk uphill for ten minutes to the ticket gate.

My experience was okay. The epidemic restrictions are what caused a lot of disappointments. The manager was helpful and friendly. He tried his best to keep us comfortable. I found the Thailand style rooms pretty comfortable. However more needs to be done to keep the outside table and chairs clean and tidy. The scenery around is beautiful and tranquil. During the epidemic all food is served on paper and plastic cutlery which did take away from a good eating experience. They have beautiful lounges and seating area’s indoors that are well decorated but we couldn’t sit inside due to the epidemic! So most meals were eaten outdoors in the cold. There are some tourist activities around such as climbing the Great Wall, horse riding and go-carting. However, many of these places are not in full operation right now. Also, there are many restaurants around if you search well. Overall I think the place is good but best to return when there are no covid restrictions!

Check-in is on the 2nd floor, and I was confused when I entered the door and couldn't find the place to check-in. The triple room I live in is room 205, which is said to be the largest. There is not always someone at the front desk, you have to call for someone to come over. The overall feeling is a bit like a rural-style layout. The walls are all red bricks, which is different from the buyer's show. The furniture is actually solid wood beds. The toothbrushes are hard to describe. The plastic ones have cracks and are not clean. I asked the front desk directly for a disposable water cup. The shower room has a dry and wet separation, which is fine, but the water pressure is too low, and the water flow from the shower is very small, and I feel that the body cannot be washed cleanly. This is very dissatisfactory. Whether you have a TV or not, you can only order it if you have a membership, but after you order it, the network is too bad and you can’t broadcast anything. The breakfast is the worst I've ever stayed in a room with Ctrip. The breakfast lady's service is okay. The only breakfast we had was millet porridge, steamed buns, and boiled eggs. Originally there were meat buns and pancakes, but the breakfast waiter said that there was a family with several children, and the buns were all packed away. I thought to myself how could the waiter manage it like this. The restaurant I arrived at after 8 o'clock had nothing to eat. Then, I also found that the pancakes that the previous guests hadn’t eaten were returned to the pick-up area. This is too shocking, who dares to eat it? Those who don't know later will eat leftovers from other people's tables. In short, will not choose to go again. I didn't take a single photo of the hotel because I didn't have the desire to take a view.

Due to the late arrival time, the boss waited in person at the door of the house, and I stayed with the children. I was very lucky.
