Amazing hotel with very friendly staff. The room was so clean and breakfast was fresh. Staff couldn't do enough for us and from the time we arrived to the time we left everything minute was so enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to stay here again

My son paid for an overnight stay as an Anniversary gift for me and his dad in March. The room was dreadfully in need of a makeover. The carpet was soaking wet on one side of the bed and threadbare in places. I really expected better from the Merchant as it’s one of the top hotels in Belfast.

We went into the hotel bar after a long day out. Brought snacks and water straight away before placing drinks order. Very relaxed , excellent service. Beautiful surroundings. Made to feel very welcome, would definitely go back and have a meal next time.

Had the best Mother’s Day/Birthday present ever . Staff were fantastic, breakfast amazing especially the male who served us, so friendly. We used rooftop hot tub which was gorgeous and warm, allowed to have our plastic glass of bubbles overlooking stunning Belfast rooftops. Bedroom was so comfortable with great views . We celebrated my birthday in style, complimentary chocolates. Roll top bath was luxurious with lovely fluffy towels and great complimentary toiletries

Had cocktails and dinner for a friend’s birthday. The cocktails were delicious and the food was lovely. The dining room is very impressive. All the table La were busy so there was a good atmosphere. Ryan, our waiter, was great fun and arranged a cake for my friend. Thank you for a great night.

Easily one of the best hotels we have visited in all aspects. From the minute you walk in the door, this hotel oozes professionalism and passion for customer care. Choice of either Victorian or Art Deco rooms- the Victoria room was stunning, with beautiful towels, toiletries , bedding and accessories. Art Deco room booked for next visit. Breakfast amazing as was dinner in Bert’s Jazz Bar. Visit the Cloth Ear while there. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Completely staggered a restaurant in a very high-end hotel with a big reputation of zero-hour contracts is offering £11-an-hour for a Restaurant Supervisor gig. That's barely above minimum wage. Outrageous. Insulting. Any wonder places are struggling for staff.

First time visiting Belfast. Our check in with the Hotel was smooth and without fuss. Two night stay. Staff excellent here. Couldn't do enough for you. Very accommodating and helpful. Room was beautiful and extremely clean. Bathroom large with roll top bath. We stayed in an art deco room. Bed very comfortable. We ate on one night in Cloth Ear bar. Lovely surroundings, service spot on and chilled out ambience. Relaxing and peaceful two days. Wouldn't hesitate to return. Luxurious hotel but calm/relaxed atmosphere.

Great staff, very friendly and welcoming. Fab food, both dinner and breakfast The venison was exceptional. Lovely, spacious and very comfortable rooms. We have always enjoyed our stays or visits here and we will be back. Very highly recommend to others.
