Meinsbur Boutique Hotel

We stayed here for two nights while hiking in the area. We were two couples and had two rooms, both of which were enormous. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we have ever slept in. The rooms had been nicely and modernly renovated, but they are definitely due for a fresh coat of paint, as the many dead insects squashed on the walls were quite unpleasant. The bathroom had not been modernized, but it was perfectly adequate, apart from the fact that the shower head would not stay in place and had to be secured with a hair tie. Sunday breakfast was very sparse, with several items missing from the buffet and not being replenished. On Saturday evening, there was a party with live music in the restaurant directly below our room, so we did not get much sleep until the music finally stopped after midnight. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. However, when booking our rooms, it was extremely difficult to get in touch with the hotel. Our emails went unanswered, and we had to call several times before we received a response. We probably would not choose to stay here again.
