The service and friendliness of Jonathan and Nathalie (owners) here is fantastic. We came here after the season with our own transport and kayaks to arrange a so-called nature map and parking. Even though they hardly earn anything from this, we received good help. When we wanted to leave here with our kayaks, a bolt broke off my footrest/rudder on my kayak. Jonathan went into his shed three times to look for the right bolt, but he found this no problem at all.

In terms of landscape, it's exactly the place that everyone is looking for in Sweden. You have a place for your tent or camper right next to the lock on the Dalsland Canal. Beautiful! When we were there, all the restaurants around were closed, but there is an ICA a short distance away. The only - and really annoying - drawback: the hot shower doesn't have a coin machine, but it still has a very short timer. That means you can shower for about 4 minutes (there's no time on it) and then the hot water stops. You can also wait a couple of minutes in the hope that you can press again for hot water. It stays cold. I would much rather have a coin machine. You should change that, Alcatraz!
