"This hotel was the perfect stay for us for 2 weeks. My husband had a shoulder op before we arrived, so we needed somewhere that would be relaxing, near the beach, chilled out, and would be a safe place to be stress free. The Muse ticked every single box. The team here is phenomenal. They were on hand at all times, very attentive without being intrusive. Delicious breakfast served every morning by the fabulous Maheth on our patio area, he made sure we had everything we needed, even my own special milk. Every afternoon, we had stunning tea or coffee with homemade pastries, and their dinner menu was pure perfection. Our very comfortable room was VIP with the jacuzzi, which was my sanctuary. Whilst my husband rested, I lazed in there reading and let the stresses slip away. The beautiful clean beach is 2 mins walk, always a free sunbed & a member of the team who brings ice lollies. The room cleaners were on hand for everything, nothing is too much trouble here. The management and team are probably the best I have ever experienced one even entertained us with his dancing, thankyou The Muse, highly recommend to everyone "

"A peaceful and calming retreat , perfect for switching off and slowing down. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, with beautiful surroundings that make it easy to unwind. The staff were warm and attentive while still giving plenty of privacy. A great place to reset and recharge away from the noise."

"We go with family, they gave us Villa and 3 rooms, not accomodated in the mail hotel building , this is infront of the mail hotel. Rooms had too many extra materials which makes room very conjested, like extra small bed, table etc. Rooms become very small with all this extra furniture. Many maquitos, Food very bad quality, nothing to eat for Vegeterian guys. We cancelled our booking for next day as it was niot possible to stay with un hygenic food."

Villa 80

"We had a fantastic end to the holiday with 4 days at the lovely Villa 80. We were lucky enought to catch a big fish (80cm) and our host prepared it for our dinner. Villa 80 is a little oasis in Bentota. The kids spent hours in the pool and alternate evenings we went to Waves for some meals and a dip in the sea. This place is central to everything. We especially loved the 1 acre lush property. The beds are comfortable and good sized rooms. Very good value and very clean rooms."

"I booked a room through Agoda and received a confirmation email, so I thought everything was settled. 2 days later, Hotel sent me an email to say that hotel was fully booked and that they could not give me any room. They said the confirmation was generated automatically. What frustrated me most was that when I checked Agoda again for the same booking dates, same booking room category, they were still available. But at a higher price. I, honestly felt like they didn’t want to honor the rate I had booked. I reached out to Agoda for help. Unfortunately, nothing could be done. I had to rush to find another place to stay, which was stressful and inconvenient. Overall, I felt cheated, disappointed and frustrated. A confirmed booking should mean something. I hope the management improves their booking system and honours confirmed reservations. I would advise future guests to be cautious when booking with this property. Ensure confirmation till you arrive at the property."
