100Percent-Onsen Shin-Horii

When we arrived soaking wet from the downpour, the staff were incredibly kind, bringing us towels and being very accommodating. - We paid the bathing fee of 250 yen per person upon arrival. - The room had a refrigerator, toilet, and yukata. There was no private bath or microwave! The futon was surprisingly warm and comfortable. - Breakfast was a bit smaller compared to other ryokans, a perfect portion size. For women, it might be a bit too much to finish. - The hot spring can be used at any time by flipping the 'occupied' sign in front of it. It was incredibly hot and felt amazing, probably because it's a natural hot spring source. - Rooms go up to the 3rd floor, but there's no elevator, so it might be difficult for elderly guests. They treated us so well, I definitely want to go back! Thank you!

I was a bit worried because there weren't any reviews from Koreans, but I ended up booking because of the convenient location, right in front of Beppu Station, and the reviews that said the area was quiet. Ultimately, I was very satisfied. The space was much larger than I expected, and since there weren't many rooms, there was no wait at all for the onsen. It was great to be able to use it right away. The owners were also very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious and served neatly, which was very satisfying. Beppu is a popular destination for Korean tourists, so it's not hard to see them everywhere. If you're looking for a quiet, Japanese-style ryokan, I highly recommend this one :)

The room was spacious and didn't feel cramped, which was great. The hot spring bath is a private type, but if it's available, you can use it as much as you want, 24 hours a day. The staff were also very polite and helpful.

A family-style onsen with a traditional feel and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and thoughtfully prepared. Although there are only two onsen (private rooms 👍), with only eight rooms in the hotel, it's easy to get access to the onsen. Very conveniently located near Beppu Station.

Located in a residential area, it's small and not crowded, making it a quiet place to stay. The building itself is old, so it has a nice atmosphere. The hot springs can be used privately and are open late at night, so if you want to relax, we recommend soaking for a long time late at night. The staff at the inn are elderly, so we hope they will do their best, even if it's just for a little while.

This is a long-established inn, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. It's clean and well-maintained, making it more comfortable than a large hotel. It's conveniently located near the station, but since it's in a residential area, there's no open-air bath. The family baths are private and the hot spring water is mild and available 24 hours a day. Even the taxi driver praised it as a good inn. We only had the breakfast plan, but it was delicious.
