The hotel service was excellent. The food was delicious, the arrangements were well organized, and the hotel environment was very clean.

This is an excellent hotel. It's nestled on a mountain overlooking the ocean, offering beautiful scenery. The hot springs are fantastic, and they even have private baths available for an extra charge. Dinner was superb; we had Japanese cuisine in an elegant setting. The Japanese chef was very professional, and the dishes were outstanding. Breakfast was semi-buffet style and also delicious. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, very clean, and offer sea views.

A premium hot spring hotel that offers excellent value for its price and class, boasting a magnificent setting. Secluded, it occupies its own private hilltop. Guests can enjoy hot spring baths or outdoor swimming, all while taking in panoramic views of Beppu. The rooms are excellently equipped and feature private balconies. Breakfast is also quite refined, offering both buffet and à la carte options.

The hotel is located on a mountain, and the shuttle service to Beppu Station ends at 5 PM. Other than that, everything else was great. The bathroom was huge, and the hot springs were definitely the highlight, with very few people around.

I'm giving one star for the service. I arrived at the hotel at 8 PM, only to be told my room wouldn't be ready for another 30 minutes. The Japanese manager at the front desk had such poor English that communication was impossible. When I asked her to help call a taxi, she fumbled and seemed utterly unhelpful, almost as if she didn't want guests to go out for dinner in the evening – which is truly outrageous.

We booked two rooms for this stay. The Classic Twin room we were assigned wasn't ideally situated; its balcony overlooked the parking lot, although we could still catch glimpses of the bay. On the plus side, it was conveniently located on the same side as the hot spring pool, making access very easy. The other room, a City View, had a much better location, offering views of Mount Ougi, the city, and the bay.

The only minor drawback is the slightly remote location, meaning you'll likely need a taxi or public bus to get down the mountain since the complimentary shuttle service isn't very frequent. Otherwise, there are virtually no other complaints. The room itself was very spacious, clean, and tidy, and the toiletries provided were quite good. The outdoor hot spring was fantastic! The hotel wasn't overly crowded, which made for a very quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

We booked for a Saturday night, and while it was a bit pricey, the overall experience was superb. I'd definitely recommend staying for two nights next time. Having previously stayed in a panoramic ocean-view room, this time I opted for a room with mountain and city views. It was truly enjoyable to take in the evening mountain scenery, with the distant city lights twinkling like stars and a faint glimpse of the ocean, all from the spacious balcony. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the natural hot spring was a huge plus. Almost perfect!

It felt ethereal with gentle wisps of white mist drifting everywhere. We paid extra to upgrade to a large suite, offering stunning views of the distant harbor. As soon as we pulled up the hotel's driveway, valet parking was immediately available. Among the staff, one of the valet attendants was a very handsome French guy with an exceptional service mindset. Another staff member, a tall Black gentleman (around 2 meters), even knelt down to enthusiastically explain the room types and hotel facilities to us. We were genuinely impressed and touched by their passionate service. We will definitely be returning for another stay! The hotel's dining options are also excellent – highly recommend trying them out!

The check-in process was a bit complicated, taking about 40 minutes to complete. However, the sauna and pool were as great as expected.

This hotel was truly the highlight of my trip to Japan. Nestled on the hillside, the views from the window are breathtaking, especially from the infinity pool where you can overlook most of Beppu. It gives you a sense of serene detachment from the urban clamor, as if you're uniquely clear-headed amidst a busy world. During our stay, there were occasional showers, and after the rain, the mountains would often become shrouded in mist, making the landscape incredibly dynamic – sometimes clear and picturesque, other times beautifully hazy and ethereal. The hotel's hot springs (onsen) are another major feature. The male and female baths are separate, ensuring privacy, and each has its own outdoor bath. What's more, the male and female sections switch over daily, so if you stay two nights, you get to experience both unique bath areas. The hotel also provides guests with traditional Japanese yukata robes and geta (wooden clogs). Regarding transportation, since the hotel is on a hillside, they offer a shuttle bus. However, it's small with limited seating, so reservations are essential. What's fantastic is that if you can't reserve a spot, the hotel *provides a taxi free of charge*. Let me emphasize that: free, free, free! So, the only potential inconvenience of staying here is perfectly addressed. While the standard breakfast selection is decent, they also have a 'hidden menu' – definitely ask for it!

The room was clean and spacious. The hotel grounds were stunning, though unfortunately, the bad weather meant we couldn't see the sea 🌊. The hotel's service was also excellent. Despite a slight language barrier, we managed to communicate well overall 🤣! The hotel's hot spring facilities were fantastic – comfortable and clean! We were very happy that the restaurant had Chinese-speaking staff, which made communication incredibly smooth.

Cant complain at all. We asked for switching a room and it was done with friendly smile :) The onsen was spectacular, well decorated and comfortable. it would hv been better if it opens till 1am :)

This hotel is situated on top of the mountain, overlooking all of Beppu, very very nice view. Room is spectacular, clean, and tidy. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is wonderful and the service is very good also.
