Umino Hotel Hajime - Former Umikaoru Yado Hotel New Matsumi Reviews

Stayed in a Japanese style room for a night, the room is nice and big with private onsen tub. Just the outdoor public onsen is a bit smaller than I thought. Overall it's nice.

The hotel is by the sea side and has a beautiful sea view. The room is very spacious and with nice Japanese settings. It also has a hot spring facility in the room itself, very nice and great experience. However TV only has Japanese channels, would be better if they have some international channels. Also they did not make the bed and clear rubbish on our first day of stay.

Room are big but abit old. Overall are ok. Walking distance to many restaurants and 7/11. Bath was bit dirty not very well maintained

Room was very large with a huge bath tub. Room is quite clean. Staff can speak some English. The room offers all the basics, but do not expect above and beyond service.

They don’t have free parking And they charge extra money for everything that you asked for

Love the breakfast set, onsen tub and the wide range of yukuta colours that we can choose from. The futon beds are even set up nicely for us.

The hotel is old, but well maintained and clean. I particularly like the earthenware bathtub with onsen filled. I had the windows wide open welcoming the fresh air and immersed into the onsen bathtub with a cold drink. Remember to ask for a room above 4th floor for better privacy.

Old and aged like worn out tatami, bathroom handle with bad marks. Paid extra for kid stay but don’t even offer extra towel, toothbrush etc for kid. Location and seaview the major benefit.

Staffs are nice, nice sea view in our room. Tidiness need to be improved, we found dead insect and mould in bathroom.

Size of room was a huge surprise. Feels like an old fashion ryokan with a 12 tatami room in addition to the sleeping room. Out door onsen was nice. Only thing that is lacking are the amenities available at the bath. No razor for women and had to bring hair brush etc from our room. Overall an enjoyable experience.
