"Staff were so helpful and welcoming, they made the stay so comfortable. We came on a Sunday evening when the hotel pub was closed and they set us a table at the hotel so we could bring back takeout. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were also very comfortable and clean and the location couldn’t be beat. It was a 5 minute walk to Berkeley Castle and the Jenner museum. Highly recommend!!"

"I had a lovely stay at The Malt House, when visiting for a wedding at Berkeley Castle. It's a great location for walking to the castle. I had a very generously sized room and the most delicious breakfast! Although the hotel and location were great my absolute favourite thing was the staff - everyone was so kind, warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay and made me feel so comfortable while staying by myself."

"Avoid - this has been used as an asylum hotel for some years and it shows. Still with discarded vehicles in the car park. The place has clearly had a cosmetic once over but needs a proper refurbishment. So many better hotels within a decent distance!!"
