"My brother aged 90 booked bed and breakfast ,when he arrived he asked to put some special eye drops in their fridge vital they are kept cold .He was told no and despite having paid for his and friends stay ,they would not let him stay (very rude) and refuse to refund him.what a way to treat an elderly person."

Berkeley Arms Hotel

📍 Arms Hotel, Berkeley

"Stayed at The Berkeley Arms Hotel for one night 4th June. I was on my own as I had a works reunion. I booked a single room which was extremely comfortable with a good bathroom. A delicious breakfast the next morning followed. But what made my stay exceptional was Corrine. I asked if I could leave my suitcase whilst I walked into Old Brookend to retrieve my car. Corrine kindly offered to drive me herself, even though I'm sure she had a busy day ahead. It was just aswell as I think I had underestimated how far the walk would be!! Thank you Corrine for your kindness. I would 100% stay at The Berkeley Arms if ever I was in the area again"

Malt House ★★★

📍 22 Marybrook St, Berkeley

"A clean room with a comfortable bed. It's quite old fashioned inside the pub and hotel but the room was quite spacious and the bed felt new. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was great. In the room tea and coffee facilities were provided. Easy to park. Nice and quiet. Very happy with our stay."

"Five of us stayed. One adult, two children and two dogs. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Rooms were clean and airy. The main downfall was the hairdryer not working. But as a very convenient base I couldn't fault it."

Best Western Bristol North the Gables Hotel ★★★

📍 Bristol Rd, Wotton-under-Edge

"The bed is too soft. This hotel is more than 10 years old and very traditional. It is clean and hygienic but I couldn't sleep at night. There is a radiator in the room, but the faucet design is very bad. It can only run cold water on one side and hot water on the other."

The Prince of Wales Hotel Berkeley, A38 M5 ★★★
"Avoid - this has been used as an asylum hotel for some years and it shows. Still with discarded vehicles in the car park. The place has clearly had a cosmetic once over but needs a proper refurbishment. So many better hotels within a decent distance!!"

"We visited the wonderful Berkeley Arms hotel on the 14th February with two friends for a valentine meal, the food was delicious and the staff are very good too, we have been several times now and always enjoy the service we get, the young staff are always happy to help with any questions we have, the decor with beautiful with great seating and it’s set out well with big tables and plenty of room between them. Corinne always makes time to chat to us and make sure we are happy with everything, we never feel rushed when we come here, it’s nice to relax after the meal and have a couple more drinks without having to move from the table We will be coming back soon"

"This was an extremely pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food and drink first class and the room and bed both cosy and extremely comfortable. An 11 our of 10 score from us. We managed to leave our phone charger there. It was retrieved for us and waiting for us when we went back for it. Cliff and Dianne Webb"

Traveling with friends
Holiday Inn BRISTOL - FILTON by IHG ★★★★
"Hotel was ideally located for our weekend trip, and was very welcoming with a fast check in process. Parking was only £5 for a 24hour period so great value for money compared to other hotels. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable and spotlessly clean throughout. Bathroom was immaculate and nicely decorated and came with Dove handwash and shampoo/shower accessories which was a lovely touch. Although there wasn't a fridge, we had a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities along with ironing board, hairdryer, extra pillows and a large TV with Netflix. Slept wonderfully...very peaceful and great black out curtains. Breakfast was amazing. Great choice of hot and cold products...plenty of choice and food was hot! Lady who greeted us in restaurant was extremely helpful and asked about allergies. My friend has a nut allergy, so the member of staff proceeded to explain about which products to avoid. This was extremely helpful and essential. This put my friend at ease immediately. The bar are and restaurant again were exceptionally clean and tidy. Decor and seating in bar area was very tasteful and comfortable. Our checkout process was very quick and easy. Over all a very welcoming and comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again and recommend highly to others Thank you for a lovely stay 🙂"
